How to earn money to buy photoshop? And how much does it cost?

I want to buy a fisheye lens and basic photoshop before summer comes around (i.e.july). This means I have 4 months to save. I get about 40 pounds per month pocket money and already have about 120 pounds saved. I just wanted to know,
how much does photoshop and a fisheye lens (I have a Nikon D3000 camera) cost?
And how can I earn the extra money in 4 months? (Oh and I'm from London if that makes a difference)
Thank-you!

You don't need to buy either

A fisheye lens is not necessary for 99% of photographers whether they are amateur or professional.
They cost 500+ and after you have used it a couple of times it will be consigned to the drawer.

Photoshop is the top of the range photo manipulation programme and again unless you need all the various facilities on it then you will be wasting £500 or so on something which you will end up using a small percentage of.
There are many programmes on the market which will suit your needs just as well and cost less than £100.

I hesitate… Oh what the hell…

Don't buy the fish eye lens. Complete waste of money. You don't see too many professionals using them. There's a good reason for that. I'm guessing you were planning on getting the Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 fish eye… That's about $900 Australian dollars… Assuming 1 pound is near enough to 2 dollars that's 450 pounds.

Are your photos already the best they can be? If not, I think you should concentrate on making them the best they can be before you think about using photoshop. Professionals use photoshop to touch up professional photos, amateurs seem to have this idea that they can use photoshop to make amateur photos, professional. It's not a waste of money… But honestly there are a bunch of really great lenses / flashes / tripods… Even studio lighting that you could get for that money.

You are unlikely to really use a fisheye enough to warrant the extensive cost. The Nikon 10.5mm f2.8 fisheye costs £528.

A good, cheaper alternative is the Samyang 8mm fisheye - although a third party brand, I've heard good things about it & a mate has one on an Olympus. It costs £245 - available from here;

There's a free alternative to Photoshop & that's Gimp - available to download here;

pretty much the same functionality as Photoshop.

If you must have Photoshop, you can get it cheaper if you are at school - it costs £168 for the student version;

It's exactly the same as the full version, but you'll need to provide proof - eligibility criteria & proof needed are here;

The full cost of CS is around £600.

Finding ways to improve your bank balance is more of a social or employment question. Full Photoshop costs several hundred pounds, but Photoshop Elements (currently on Version 9) costs £75 at Argos and should be cheaper in the internet. That version will do almost everything you need, maybe try to find a friend with it, or a 30 day trial version, and see if it will fulfill all your needs.

Photoshop Elements costs around £70 so you could use that instead of the full version which is really only needed for professional use and those in the medical, science, police and creative industry.

As for fisheye lenses these will cost around £400-500 which as you can tell is expensive and are have the least value for money. You're not going to shoot every photo with a fisheye are you? Most likely you're not so why spend all that cash on one. Buy a cheap screw on filter add on thingy instead. Sure it's not as good but it will be worth it in the long run and it will be an easy thing to achieve.

Elements is £70-80 and a fisheye could be £100 for a decent one so that's £200 max for what you're after.

CS5 is over £600… You could always go for the cheaper option of Elements…
