How to get my photographs of children to look like this?

White Way
White Way

I'm a amateur photographer and I have a Nikon D70 (with multiple lens and a slave) and I was wondering how I can achieve something similar to this photograph. I do realize it was taken in a studio with lots of expensive gear I do not own, but any ideas or suggestions to help me come close to the pure/white look? Here is an example

Make sure your photo is in B&W or convert it to grayscale then import it to Adobe Lightroom and mess with curves.

Aww, that's such a cute picture!

In the old days, you'd shoot the photo in black and white, with either Tri-X for speed or a slower film for better contrast and less graininess. Then you'd work with your enlarger, dodging the lighter parts and burning in the darker eyes.

Amazing what can be done with digital cameras these days!

I agree… High Key… Good answer.

well here are a few links to how to get this look if your images lack that effect now… Using Photoshop or similar photo editing software.

For an ameture way to do it (ofcourse its not the best or correct way but t you can get a similar look)

When editing your photo, brighten it up quite a bit. And then make it black and white

Again, not the correct way but you can get a similr look
