Where to buy Nikon D3100 from? Munich or Zurich?

I'm from Munich. A Nikon here costs almost 500 euros, but in Zurich, which is very near from here, it costs roughly 430. Why is this difference? And should I buy it from Munich or order it from Zurich, Switzerland?

Are electronics such as camera lenses cheaper in Singapore rather than in Philippines?

I'm into photography and I've been putting off buying a tele lens for my Nikon D3000 for quite some time. Specifically a 18-200mm zoom lens or a 55-200mm zoom lens. I'm leaving for SG in a few days and I would want to invest in a lens for my travel. My friends who have been to SG mentioned that some electronic gadgets are cheaper in SG than it is in the Philippines. Should I buy a tele lens here in the Philippines or in Singapore.

What are good close up lenses compatible for a Nikon D3100?

I'm looking to buy a new lens that is good for close up photography. I'd really like to capture a lot of detail in my images

I was wondering what lenses would be good for such photographs and are compatible with the Nikon D3100.
It would also be nice if you could explain the circumstances in which the lens would be used (e.g. How close or far from the subject I would have to be)
Also, if you could mention the pros and cons to the lenses, that would be greatly appreciated.

Price would also be a factor in my decision, quite frankly.

Can I take a photo in Nikon D90 without a memory card?

I bought a Nikon D90 + VR Kit from amazon, without a memory Card.
- Is it possible to take a picture without a memory card in D90?
- Is Memory card specific for each model of camera? That is, is it possible to use same memory card in canon DSLR and Nikon DSLR?

Taking photos of the stars, and making a time lapse video? - 1

I'm a photography noob. I have a Nikon D40X and want to take some photos of stars, and then put them into a time lapse video. I've already done it but the photos and video suck. The lens is 18-55mm and the possible ISO settings are 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 and H1/3200. The exposure time can go from 1/4000th of a second to 30 seconds, then goes to BLUR.

Basically I just set the camera up on a tripod and started taking photos with the remote. I didn't really know what settings I was messing with, except it was on "Auto (no flash)" which got rid of the "subject is too dark" message, and the photos seemed best when the ISO was on 800. When I hit the remote it took 25 seconds to shoot. Does this mean that it took 25 seconds to collect enough light? After it shot I waited ten seconds and pressed it again. I did this for 43 photos.

Here's the first photo I took of the 43.It's converted to JPG from NEF (Nikon's RAW format). The resolution is 3900 x 2613.

Then I put each photo in a small timelapse video. There's 100 milliseconds between each frame.

Not many stars because there's lots of light pollution here!

From using the camera today I now know how to set it to Manual, and set the aperture and exposure length. I want to take more photos of the stars tonight though, so are there any specific camera settings I should be using? Does anyone have any tips for a beginner? I get that less light means more exposure but there's still more to it.

By the way, with time lapses, when people get shooting stars in their time lapses, how quickly are they taking their photos?
