Nikon D3100 (brand new) or Nikon D90 (2nd hand)?
My budget is tight on these two choices so if anyone could help me out on which is a better choice between the two?
So I have a Nikon D5000 at the moment.
And but I want to know what the best settings are.

How to turn a movie file into a GIF?
I took video on my camera (Nikon D5000) and I'd like to turn that video into a GIF file that runs on a constant loop. Sort of like a time lapse. The video in specific is a sunset sort of thing and it's about 15 minutes long, but I'd like to condense and speed it up, and set it on a constant dark-bright-dark-bright sort of thing. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Which would you suggest Point and Shoot or Camcorder?
I already own a Nikon D60. I'm looking for a camera that has good resolution and zoom for great pictures in a more compact camera. I'm also looking for a camera/camcorder to record videos for youtube but I'm look at a price range of about $200 or less. I know there are good point and shoot cameras that also shoot HD video but would I just be better off looking at camcorders?

So, the deciding factor for me is, that Canon has AF built in and Nikon doesn't.
I can't afford either canon or nikon lenses, so I will be purchasing Sigma, Tamron etc.
So, if I wanted the Tamron SP 60mm F/2 Macro, will it work the same or similarly on the two cameras? Does the built in AF on the Canon change anything?

My son has just bought the Nikon D40x and didn't realize that it won't work with auto focus lenses. Can anyone recommend any lenses they use that will work with auto focus rather than manual on the d40x? Motor driven lenses.
My light meter won't appear on my Nikon D90?
I'm using a Nikon D90, and i recently had a problem which my light meter in the view finder failed to appear. Its just showing like the letter A and 8 or something. Anyone who can help on this?

Wedding photography advice and tips?
I'm new to photography, I recently purchased an entry level Nikon DSLR as an upgrade to my Nikon N55 and N65 and I've been shooting like crazy mostly family and some nature shoots and posting them up on my FB page. A couple weeks i got a call from a friend who's mom is getting married at the end of the month and she asked me if i could assist her as a second photographer keep in mind this is also her first weeding and I've been doing photography a bit longer then her but never a big event like this.
Any advice/tips you might have will help a lot i already watched all the youtube videos i could find lol and i feel pretty confident about it but really any advice will help.
i'm not charging her for my time there or editing of the photographs and she will get a photo CD and i might also create an album for her as a gift but in no way will i accept monetary compensation.
