Best lens for Nikon D80 for landscapes?

I'm looking into getting a Nikkor VR 16-85 mm lens for my D80 as an all purpose lens. I do mainly landscapes but also enjoy macro work (flowers/insects). Would this be a good lens to satisfy those needs, or is there something better out there? I don't want to spend more than $600.00.

AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm, AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm or AF-S DX Zoom 55-200mm?

I'm getting a new lens for my Nikon d3100 and i need a lens that can zoom quite far and won't really cost me a lot

Added (1). I personally prefer the AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm since it can really zoom very far and btw the 18-55mm lens if does not have any gaps

What camera is most like the Nikon D3100 but not a DSLR?

I really love everything about the nikon D3100 except for the fact that it has interchangeable lenses. I know that more professional photographers like the interchangeable lenses, but i'm "not ready" to get a camera that doesn't have a built in zoom for very far away objects. Is there any cameras that are similar to the D3100 in picture quality, depth of field, video capabilities, etc, but not interchangeable lenses?

How to properly bracket with a Nikon D40?

I have a bracketing assignment for a photography (beginners) class.
' 1. You must use the manual exposure mode on your camera
2. A tripod is a must since you might be working with slow shutter speeds, and since the only thing changing should be the exposure and not the composition.
3. Choosing a scene with consistent lighting will render the most accurate results.

Select 2 different scenes and compose an interesting image with consistent lighting using your camera on tripod. Using manual mode take a photo with the MIE, +.3,+.7 and +1 full stop and -.3, -.7 and -1 full stop (7 photos total per scene). For one of the scenes use the aperture to bracket the exposure and for the second scene adjust the shutter speeds. '

I sort of understand this. But "For one of the scenes use the aperture to bracket the exposure and for the second scene adjust the shutter speeds" is not very clear to me.
Do I go to "A" and adjust the exposure, then switch to "M" to take the photo- same with "S"? Or do I always stay in "M"?

Do you have a Nikon D3100?
I wanted to know, what the maximum recording time is on this Nikon D3100 DSLR.
Does that depend on the size of your memory stick (ex. 16GB) or not.
Because on the nikon website it says 10 min max.rec.time.
Can I record longer that 10 minutes per clip, or not - CAN I MAKE MORE THAN ONE CLIP @ 10 min per video?

Photographing a theatre production.absolute beginner

So I'm a real beginner in photography… Can get some nice shots and I have a good eye etc however, I've obviously only got an entry level camera (nikon d5000) and I ony have 2 lenses… One being the standard one i got with it - 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens and Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6 DX VR Lens… Now i've obviously been researching lots of tips etc with the best iso levels and using spot metering etc but my I'm concerned my lenses arnt good enough… Will i be able to get any decent shots? Luckily my partner is the lighting technician, so a few days before i can go in before the rehearsal and get a good luck but does anyone have any tips based on my equipment? I can get my hands on a tripod if necessary.

Does the Nikon D3100 record audio?

The reason why I'm asking this is because I want this camera really bad and I'm just wondering if it records audio.cause i know it records videos. But like people's comments on youtube are like, "WHY DOES IT NOT HAVE A MIC JACK AHH! EVERYTHING ELSE IS So PERFECT FOR WHAT I NEED EXCEPT FOR AUDIOOOOOO!" so i'm like.woahh.
