My light meter won't appear on my Nikon D90?
I'm using a Nikon D90, and i recently had a problem which my light meter in the view finder failed to appear. Its just showing like the letter A and 8 or something. Anyone who can help on this?
Do a reset. If that does not work then contact nikon
It only appears if you are in Manual mode (or in A or S mode when the exposure is more than 2 stops under or over). If it's showing A and 8 it means you are in Aperture priority mode & the shutter speed is 1/8 sec. The aperture will be showing as an f number.
If I remember correctly with Nikons, if you press the +/- button beside the shutter release button, the meter will appear at any mode. I may be wrong so it would be best to check the manual.
