How to edit my Nikon D5100 videos?
When I try to edit the video from my Nikon D5100, it is incredibly slow and stuttery in whatever video editor I try to use. If I convert it, the quality gets significantly degraded. Is there any way to fix this?
Added (1). Sorry, I should have mentioned that. It's a PC with 4GB of DDR2 ram and Core 2 Duo processor. I haven't had trouble like this editing videos on it before. I tried on my laptop which also has 4GB of ram and a Core i5 processor. I have edited videos without trouble on both my machines, so I'm thinking that it is the format of my camera. That's why I now wonder if there's format I can convert it to that still looks good while actually allowing me to edit.
Added (2). No, I haven't edited HD on either of them before. That must be what my problem is.
Off camera flash and cordless remote?
Just want people choice on what off camera flash, and cordless remote is good for efficiency and price. I have seen some cameras with an aerial sticking out the top. So not sure if that is a good brand or not, so i need some help here. I will be shooting through an umbrella, so needs to also connect to stand, and the main control piece will be sitting on top of a nikon D90, thanks for any help you can give.

I recently owned a Toshiba Camileo X100 which shoots HD video. Upon taking video with it my computer was unable to read it. (WIN) Neither windows media player or my editing software (Pinnacle v.12.1) was able to view it.
I want to get a Nikon D3100 which also shoots in HD but I'm afraid that I will have the same problem again. Is this an isolated problem or do I need special software to run HD video editing/playback?

What is better, Nikon or Canon?
Right now I have a nikon d5000, but I i'm looking into getting the Canon 5d mark II. I was just wandering if you guys prefer nikon or canon and why. Is the 5d mark 2 a good camera? I can't exceed $3, 000 and I want a full-frame camera professional camera! And what do you think of my photography. Thank you

Added (1). I want a full-frame for the framing reasons. I can't stand not having a full-frame camera because I need to be able to take full body pictures other than portraits. I feel very limited with my camera because it isn't full frame. Now the only question is, should I go with nikon or canon?
I got a Nikon D3100 and when I take pictures, I need to look through the peephole thing to see what I'm taking a picture of. The screen shows details about camera setting and such, but not what the lens is focusing on, like a digital camera screen would show. This gets annoying when trying to take pics without pressing the camera to my head. Can this be changed?

I'm renting a lens to shoot a wedding and I can't decide if I would rather shoot with the Nikon 24-70mm or the Nikon 17-55mm.
I already have the Nikon 70-200mm, as well as the 50mm.
