Why compare the Nikon D7000 to the Canon 60D?

Why do people compare the D7000 to the 60D? We all know that the 60D can't match the D7000 in any ways, why not compare it to the 7D? It has the magnesium alloy body, then they compare it to polycarbonate plastic? Why not compare it to the 7D's magnesium alloy body? I think they compare it based on the price, but please compare it by features and specs.

Tokina 12-24 mm or Sigma 10-20 mm?

I have D5100 and planning for wide lens. Is AF factor to be considered? Then Sigma is the only choice after nikkor which is above my budget. The Tamron didn't impress me. Please suggest the current market price. Would appreciate if suggested polarizer of B+W or hoya of 77mm.

Added (1). Does AF ia a big factor with wide lens. If not I would certainly go for tokina else Sigma would be my alternative plus that 2mm would be a great bonus.
Please suggest.

How to set up a wireless remote on a Nikon d3100?

I'm almost completely positive that I'm going to purchase the Nikon D3100, and as I was reading up on the specs I learned that it doesn't have a port for a wireless remote. However, after further reading, I found that there's some way to add something that can make it so you can use a wireless remote. How would you do this?
Also, if you can add in a link to a product that makes this work, that would be great.

I have a Nikon D40, if I get a reliable lens will they take more professional photos?

I'm planning on taking wedding portraits and I need the best quality I can get. My budget is low and could only afford about $1, 000 until the wedding. I don't think this will get me a good enough Camera and Lens. Please help me!

Added (1). No, this is another friend's question. This one has nothing to do about the Senior Photo one. I'm sorry for the misleading circumstances. She has a Nikon D40 and would like lens advice. I have a D3000 and was thinking about upgrading.
