What lens would a photographer need for Nightclub photography, and how many flashes?
I'm planning to get a Nikon D5000 before October hopefully, and i want to get into club/rave and sports(baseball, football and soccer) photography. For sports i was thinking that i can do it for the community college i'm going to next year and get some practice there. I know sports lens are very expensive so i'll probably wait a while to get one of those, maybe next summer or something.
For nightclub photography, I have a lot of friends that throw house parties, and i can tell them if i can shoot and get some pics for my portfolio.
But will the Nikon D5000 and a 50mm f1.8 be good for night shots?
What lens would you recommend if that one isn't, and which flash would fit on a D5000, and How much would i need?
Where can I find the Nikon D5100 kit lens?

Added (1). Ya i'm sorry, the lens zooms. What i meant was that is there any optical zoom in dslrs. What is the optical zom in d3100 is it 3x! If i'm not wrong
Which nikon will be best for me?
D3100 or p500
i would say that this is my first camera and i will be starting photography using, but i want something that is good both the cameras are good. I think that p500 has also manual setting that are good for beginners. Any other suggestion my budget is not more than that of what d3100 is. And p500 is much less costlier. Please suggest what should i do. I'm amazed by the quality of nikon cameras.both have hd movie record

Extension Tube Macro Ring for Nikon D3100?
Hi, I just received this product that I bought from stppo.com And after I put it on my camera, it is blurry and dark. I tried it with and without flash and tried every single ISO mode. It still comes out blurry and dark. I would like to know how does it work? I need help using it because I see people using extension tube and pictures comes out really pretty indoor and outdoor.
55-300mm is creepy on
focusing, 70-300mm is bit over
my budget.55-200mm seems
better with half the price.any
other 3rd party with AF in
55-200or300 range.
