Having trouble with vivitar 383 and nikon d90?
I have a nikon d90 and a vivitar 383.both were compatible and was working perfectly until last month when i put the flash on the d90 the r18 code showed up. My d90 works okay its just when i put the flash on it won't take pics and the r18 pops up… What is r18 and do i need a new flash?

Will jpeg fine in a nikon d90 offer enough image quality?
I just got a D90 today and i don't really wanna shoot in RAW so i chose the highest jpeg quality possible "Jpeg fine" Will it offer good image quality?

I want to playback my pictures on my TV. What cable do I need in order for it to work on my D3100? What port do I use: HDMI or A/V? I tried it with a video jack and it didn't work, but worked on my Canon point and shoot.

Nikon D90 owners, what shooting mode do you use the most?
Wanted to know what shooting mode should i use…
I learned many things to be able to shoot in manual mode but how can i know when the photo has good exposure when i'm on manual mode?
Plus, if i wanna do high burst shooting of some object, manual mode wouldn't work right?

I'm really upset right now. I just bought this new camera this morning, it's my first camera that's more than a basic digital. I followed all of the instructions, and it was working fine all afternoon.
Then I decided to take a few more pictures and it stopped working.
Everytime I try to take a picture it says "Error. Press shutter release button again", I've tried turning it on and off, taking out the battery… The manual says to talk to nikon represtative… I don't want to have to send it off… I just got it:'(
I just want to cry right now, but I know that won't help anything…
Did I break it? Is this a common problem? Is there a way to fix it?

I'm gonna buy a Digital SLR by next week, the question is that i still hesitated and uncertain with my choice between the Nikon D3100 and the Canon EOS 550D they are both great that's why am hesitated between both i know there's a difference in price (well the canon is way bit expensive) but that is not the case anyway! So waiting for answers. Thnk u all

Why is the Nikon D3100 thought of as a camera for the family?
I really want to get the Nikon D3100 for me as a learning photographer but on the Nikon website it says that it is more for the family.
Why does it say that, and should I buy it?

Are Yongnuo Speedlights good enough for my Nikon D3000?
I'm 15 and I've been into photography for 2 years already, but just a hobbyist. I have some savings (approximately 6, 000-7, 000 Php). Should I save more and invest on the SB speedlights of Nikon or getting Yongnuo speedlights are enough?
Added (1). Approximately 6, 000-7, 000 Php = $165

How to get votes to win a competition?
I'm Mathias Deknudt, and I participated for a photo contest. The price I can
win is a camera (Samsung WB700) that I would like to win for my girlfriend.
The photo is made in China, yellow mountains with a nikon D60. An interesting
fact about these mountains is that the movie avatar is based on this stunning
place.
This is the photo:

Problem burning a DVD using Windows Live Move Maker and Windows Media Player?
I don't have much technical knowledge so bear with me. I created a 'movie' in Windows Live Movie Maker… There are pictures in the beginning with a few songs over them, then video clips at the end. I then click 'save as' and then as 'for high definition'… It then takes about 4 hours to save.
When I watch the finished movie (forgive me, i don't know the format as I'm not at home right now) the pitcures and songs are fine, but when I come to the clips, they start OK but then the sound and picture do not correspond and there's an awful delay.
I burned the file to DVD using Windows Media Player in case the problem resolved itself but, no, it still happens on the DVD.
When I watch the 'movie' in Windows Live Movie Maker (as its being created) its completely fine but it only seems to go wrong after the lengthy 'save as high definition' stage.
Can anyone help me resolve this. The only reason I'm using Windows Live Movie Maker is because it came on my PC and is therefore free. I don't want to pay for any additional software if I can help it as I don't need to do these DVD's very often.
Thank you. I really hope someone can help me.
Oh, in case you need to know, the pics are JPEGS and I think the movie clips are. MOV files (they were taken with a Nikon D7000). Lastly, and I don't see how this matters, but the entire 'movie' is about 28 mins long.
