Nikon lens comparison/recommandation?
I recently got a D5100 for my bithday from my parents and my dad has the D70. He has another lens for the D70 and told me to use his kit lens as a replacement for my current kit lens. I'm not that amazing on photography, I did some research but still left confused question is, which is better? At what conditions?
D5100 VR AFS 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G
D70 AFS 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G
Added (1)..

Recently bought the nikon d5100, made a few time lapses [using the in camera intervalometer not an externam one] when I upload the photos, they are roughly 4000 by 3000 pixels, yet when I make the timelapse using sony vegas pro, the video is terrible quality, help much appreciated.

Was i ripped off? This is my fault if i was?
So i have a nikon d3100 with the kit lens and i'm interested in landscape photography, well my boyfriend and i were in gatlinburg, tn this week and i went into a camera shop to buy a lens hood and the man working there started telling me about a lens which is a Bower.45x professional high speed auto focus deluxe super wide angle lens WITH macro. He sold it to us for $275. I didn't do my research until today and i'm finding them online for $50 to $60. I think we were ripped off and the receipt says no refunds. Here's some pictures of it.

Good Cheap way to do Macro photography for a Nikon D5000?
Alright, I have a nikon d5000 and I want a cheap way to do macro. I don't want to use a lens adapter to put the lens backwards but something else. I was thinking about Macro filters but I'm not for sure. I wanted to really use extension tubes but I heard they wouldn't work on a nikon d5000, but if you know of one please tell me. Or maybe a cheap lens. My budget is probably 100$. And by the way I'm only 15.

What is a fair price for this DSLR camera body in good condition. A Nikon D40 (Body only)?
My friend has upgraded his DSLR camera to a Nikon D5100 and he is selling a well looked after Nikon D40 body that is in good condition. He is a very good friend who I have known for Years, So he said he will give me 2 Months warranty with the camera. If it fails in the first 2 Months he will give me my money back (And he will he is a man of his word)
So anyway.Back to my question. What is a fair price in UK GBP for a Nikon D40 (Body only in good condition)
Thank you for your answers.
I have Nikon motorised VR lenses so there's No problems with glass to put in front of the camera
Added (1). I'm going to use it as a back up camera, Working on the theory that it is MILES better than any point and shoot camera I could buy new for the same money. We can't work out a fair price for the camera body.

Nikon D3000 won't hold SD card?
SD card doesn't latch in. The only way the camera recognizes that it's in there's if you manually hold it in, which is difficult when trying to take photographs. This is only a few months old…
