Nikon SLR Cameras

What is a fair price for this DSLR camera body in good condition. A Nikon D40 (Body only)?

My friend has upgraded his DSLR camera to a Nikon D5100 and he is selling a well looked after Nikon D40 body that is in good condition. He is a very good friend who I have known for Years, So he said he will give me 2 Months warranty with the camera. If it fails in the first 2 Months he will give me my money back (And he will he is a man of his word)
So anyway.Back to my question. What is a fair price in UK GBP for a Nikon D40 (Body only in good condition)
Thank you for your answers.
I have Nikon motorised VR lenses so there's No problems with glass to put in front of the camera

Added (1). I'm going to use it as a back up camera, Working on the theory that it is MILES better than any point and shoot camera I could buy new for the same money. We can't work out a fair price for the camera body.

I don't know.

The Nikon D40 has held its resale value for a number of reasons, so sell for about $275 USD here in the States.

I have seen D40's with the entry level 18-55 mm lens in the UK for around £250.00

I guess you could subtract the value of the 18-55 mm Nikkor lens (about £75) and use that as a starting price.

Try £175 or a little less.

I would think, between £120 and £150 dependant on condition. £170 for a minter.
