Which of these would be the best choice for an entry level DSLR?

I have looked at the:
Nikon D5100
Canon T2i
Canon T3i

from what I can tell the Canon T3i and Canon T2i are nearly the same camera except for some exterior upgrades. The Nikon D5100 and Canon T3i are also very similar except the Nikon has fewer mp (which is not a big deal), the Nikon has a faster fps rate, and I believe it has a better sensor as well. When I look at sample images it seems that the Canon takes a brighter, more contrasted picture, as compared to the Nikon. Any suggestions for these three cameras is appreciated. In my purchase I'm considering image quality, lifetime/durability, and quality of the lenses.

Can the Nikon D3100 take still images while recording a video?

I was wondering if the Nikon D3100 can take images while recording videos, sort of like the Canon Rebel T3i.

What lenses are compatible with Nikon D5100?

I understand that all Nikkor lenses post 1960 will actually fit the body, and DX lenses will work the best, but specifically I would like a little help deciding between these two seemingly identical lenses for my camera.

AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D
AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G

Which one of these lenses would work the best for my D5100?

A good starter camera for a new photographer?

Ok, I'm interested in becoming a photographer and already have subjects who are interested in allowing me to shoot them. However, I do not have much experience in this field (I've only taken a photojournalism class in high school, which I loved). Any idea what camera I should get (without going too crazy, e.g. The nikon 3000 or d60 is about the right price, although still a bit pricey)?

Also, what type of kits do I need? Should I get a tripod? How tall should it be? Most of all my pictures will be taken indoors and in actual photography studios…

What kind of camera for semi-pro?

I have been working on my photography skills as an ameteur for about 5 years. I have been using a DSLR (Nikon D60) for about 2 and a half years now. I think I'm ready to step it up a notch. I want to eventually persue my hobby as a business when I feel I'm ready. I want to start to start venturing out and photographing other people besides my family and kids. I was thinking of starting to do this for free for experience. What kind of camera should I get that is the cheap (like an older model maybe) but still able to take real professional shots. Last time I was looking a couple years ago I coveted the Nikon D2 but now there are so many more. Is there something similar to the D2 but cheaper? Any ideas? I'm so done with the D60.

Please don't leave comments that I woke up and decided to become a photographer. I have put many years of thought into this and have taken a couple of courses at a local college and I still know I'm not ready yet even though I have come a long way. I just want to start working with equipment because I'm now ready to step it up.

Beyerdynamic mce s ll cam?

So i have a microphone shotgun condenser (type listed above) and its advertised to use phantom power, how do I use phantom? I found out I've been using the battery the whole time. Is it because it also needs to be an option on the camera (I use a nikon d5100)?
