Nikon d7000 sequence shooting?

I invested in a Nikon D7000 yesterday. I have the AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm DX lense.

A few friends and I were trying to use the sequence shooting for skateboarding. For whatever reason, it still kept coming out very burry or twisted; the skateboard would look deformed.

Now, to start, I'm very very new to this. I'm sure it is something that is just obvious but I'm still disappointed to see that the D7000 is not good for this so far. Like I said, probably my fault. Is there something I should be doing different? And if so, how should I change it?

I had the shutter frequency set to "CH"

Flash is off

view-finder only

ISO 3200

any ideas/recommendations?

Also, any other hints/tips/tricks would be much appreciated! Thank you so much.

Added (1). I meant sequence as in this - image

Is there a more proper name than that?

It is a D7000, shouldn't it be plenty quick enough?

I'm wanting to shoot aseball pictures and I can't seem to change the aper. Or the shutter. I know that the shutter should be >1/250 when taking pictures, but should the apertatue be high or low? Please list in details how to change each. Also, any other settings conserning light, etc, that I might need to know while shooting action on the field.

Thanks in advanced!

Added (1). Also, the shutter is 1/1000 and the aperture ** is f 4.5. However the subject is too dark. When I turn on the flash, the shutter goes back to 1/200. How do I solve this?

Why does my Nikon pictures have to be optimized (photographers only)?

Ok I have a nikon d7000 and I love it but when every I put my pictures on my computer and try to upload them to like Facebook they don't show up because they are too big and i don't know how to solve it I have to go to to a web base optimizing place and shrink my photos which make it look kinda low quality which is horrible since I'm a photographer? What settings do I need to set my camera to like the file size to medium? Because I think it's on large? I just want good quality images without going through all that trouble.

Best wide angle lens and filters?

I'm just starting out and i want a wide angle lens preferably a fish-eye but i don't know what to get. Nikons 10.5mm fish-eye is good but its goes for around $700 and others like sigma etc go for like $300-400 but i want to know what would be best for me. I will have a NIKON D7000 i want a lens that is user friendly and a lens that i can use to get more acquainted with my camera and f stops, etc. I also want to know what is the best Filter Brand. Some say Hoya, others Tiffen, but i want not just a UV Filter but also a polarized and graduated filter. Any suggestions? And if you can show where you can buy them. For example Amazon, Best Buy, etc.

Does anyone else use household items for lighting? Examples would be great

I've been at photography for a little bit now (about 4 months) so I'm not completely new, I've been reading and learning a lot. I got my first DSLR a few weeks ago. Nikon D3100. I've used full manual since day one.

Right now, I'm just learning, doing some volunteer work and as a hobby. For most things I shoot, natural light is sufficient. But I would like to be able to do some photography around the house for times when I don't get to get out to shoot. I've been trying to look up some at home tutorials for various projects, like low key, water splash photography, flower photography, but it seems that multiple light sources are needed. All I have is my on camera flash and tripod at the moment. I will be investing in a speedlite, but not soon.

I've been doing some reading for fill flash which I would like to start getting a feel for that as well.

I've been reading up on some shortcuts with the on camera flash, on how to make home made diffusers. Does anyone here know if making a diffuser for the on camera flash is worth it and is it possible to use household lamps as a substitute for light sources? Are any special bulbs in particular to use for lighting?

Any examples of what you've been able to do with limited resources or the on camera flash would be great!
