What are some really good DX lenses for Nikon DX cameras?
I have a Nikon D3000 and I'm planning on getting some new glass. At this point I only have the 18-55mm kit lens. So what I want to know is what are some good DX lenses that I can get. I want to focus on portraits so I want something along the lines of 35mm primes to 85mm primes.

Should I keep the Nikon D3100 DSLR sitting at the front of my room?
I ordered the Nikon D3100, but shortly after I got cold feet with afterthoughts on getting the Canon T1i/T2i/ or other cameras instead. I'm mainly interested in video. Rankings on Snapsort tie the year-older T1i, but the Nikon's film quality looks superior. The T2i seems to be around high $400's, out of my price range by 100 or so smackeroos. I payed $350 for the Nikon body only. Should I keep the Nikon, go for a Canon, or maybe even get a camcorder instead? Are they wiser for film choices?

What's the difference between a fisheye lens and a regular lens for the Nikon d3000?

Is the Nikon d3000 good for a beginner photographer?
I currently have a fujifilm finepix s3280 but I might get a nikon d3000 and i was wondering if it was good for photography? I know it is a DSLR and mine isn't so i figured i'd ask.

My very close friend gave me some vivatar lenses after I told him I got a dslr. I was really excited to get them, since they were very nice lenses. Made in Japan and full metal construction. But sadly, I have a Nikon D3100. I really want to use these lenses though. So I've been searching through the internet for a adapter, since I saw that Canon had one to use Nikon lenses. I found one after a long search, but before I did, I saw a lot of topics about how you could use Nikon lenses on Canon bodies, but not the other way around.
So does this work or is it just a fluke?

Need help deciding Nikon 300mm lenses?
On Ebay, the Nikon 70-300mm Vr is around $500.
and there's the Tamron 70-300 VC lense for $400.
Obviously quality wise, the Nikon is better. But the Tamron is much cheaper and there's a lot of positive comments about that lens. Anything that I should be aware about or consider between the 2 lenses? I'm thinking about getting the Tamron but any advice is better than no advice!
Added (1). Also can this lens be used on a DX AND FX camera? I own a Nikon D90 but if I want to upgrade to a full frame in the future, will this lens be compatible with it too?

What is the cheapest dslr camera?
I would like it too be good quality, but basic is fine. Must have video recording.
The Nikon D3100 is the lowest I can find.

March, 30th 2011 I bought a nikon d3000, it's in perfect shape but I'm ready for a change and I'm looking to sell it to help pay for a new camera. How much should I sell the nikon d3000 for?

I'd like to get a 70-300mm lens, but there's so many different brands! And then there's so many reviews I can't get even down to two different ones. Anyone out there have any recommendations?

How to connect my Nikon D3100 to my computer?
I have the recommended USB and have installed the software. I'm working on a Mac and I know it should show up on my Desktop. But nothing is showing up. Why not and how can I fix this problem?
Added (1). Edit: Thank you, everyone. I'm going to pick up a card reader. I've also figured out the problem. The USB may not have been the right kind, even though it fit in my camera. I found a cable that works for now, but I will definitely be picking up a card reader.
