My birthday is next week and my mom asked me if i want a Nikon D7000 or the sigma 70-200mm hsm ex dg os currently I have the d3100
Can I use my Nikon D60 battery charger (rated 110V) in Tokyo without any coverter?
I have an US model D60 and I'm going to Japan soon. I know Japan uses100V 50hz so I assume my Nikon 110V battery charger should do fine. Any info would be appreciated.
Why are my videos on my Nikon D5000 choppy?
I was playing with my recording feature on my Nikon and when I went to watch it, noticed it was playing really choppy. This hasn't always been the case. I was taking photos earlier and was in manual mode, so I'm not sure if this had any effect on it? I don't know much about recording so this could very well be the case. If so, how can I change my settings to have a more seamless playback? Did it have anything to do with my shutter speed?
Need a DSLR for going on vacation?
So far, thinking Nikon or Canon. I've heard a 35mm f1.8 lens is a great lens to have, but I know nothing about lenses. WIth this lens, I'd get a Nikon D5100. The Canon I'm looking at is the T2i, I see Canon makes a f1.4 and f2.0 in 35mm, but not the f1.8 I have no clue what the difference is.so, what do I buy and which lens? Canon, Nikon, something else?

DSLR Photo straight to computer (MacBook Pro)?
I saw a video on Digital Rev TV of Eric Wong during the Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera challenge, and in the beginning when he snaps the picture, it shows up on his mac. I'm wondering can that only be done on a HasselBlad, or can I do it with a D7000? Because seeing a picture in full resolution compared to a tiny LCD screen helps in some cases. If I can do it with a Nikon, what Equipment would I need to use, or softoware?

The Nikon D3100 is around $550 USD. It's a really good camera. Is there any other camera, (can be any brand) that is better than this but the same price or cheaper?
I was looking on ebay for a typical 60mm Holga lens, and I found one that apparently fits a D60. I'm just curious as to if the lens would give me weird photo effects or if it just acts like a 60mm little play lens.
And I thought the photo effects in a Holga came from the body not any of the lenses?
Will nikon repair my camera for free?
I have a red scratch on my nikon d90 sensor, i was wondering if nikon will repair this problem for free. I have no warranty on my camera.
I'm going to italy and i currently own a nikon d3100 with a 18-55 and a 55 to 300. I don't want to be carrying both lens around. Is there a in between lens. No more than 3 to 4 hundred dollars. Thanks! Btw i will be in rome Florence tuscany and venice! Thats where ill take pictures!
