Can I use my Nikon D60 battery charger (rated 110V) in Tokyo without any coverter?
I have an US model D60 and I'm going to Japan soon. I know Japan uses100V 50hz so I assume my Nikon 110V battery charger should do fine. Any info would be appreciated.
Quoted from http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2225.html
"The voltage in Japan is 100 Volt, which is different from North America (120V), Central Europe (220V) and most other regions of the world. Japanese electrical plugs have two, non-polarized pins, as shown above. They fit into North American outlets.
Some North American equipment will work fine in Japan without adapter and vice versa, however, some sensitive equipment may not work properly or even get damaged."
I say you probably can, my Canadian (same as US) charger (from a Panasonic FZ35/38) works with 100-240volts, and I've used it in Europe with a pin adapter (not power)
No problem
