How to fix my Nikon D90?

I have a Nikon D90 with sigma DC 18-200 mm lens. Anyway, I put my camera away for a while and I brought it back out. Everything was operating fine… I took a few pictures and transferred them to my PC… After that I found that my playback button and my live view button don't work… Nothing shows up on the screen… I know the screen isn't broken because I can access the menu but I can't look at my photos or anything. I also noticed that my camera doesn't show me a preview of photos right after I take them… How do I fix this…

Added (1). Yeah, so I know almost without a doubt, it isn't a problem with my menu settings… My LCD screen just won't show ANYTHING except for when I push the menu button and the info button…

The control panel is turned off.
When i take pictures, the camera still auto focuses for the shot, but the viewfinder remains blurry and instead of the focus points glowing red, the whole viewfinder grows red… Also it is dim

Advice on buying Nikon D60 (Flash broken/needed)?

I found this 2nd hand Nikod60 for 190£, but the store manager told me that the flash isn't working. Is flash really essential or can I cope without it? (can you do night photography without flash?)

I found another one for 230£(perfect working order) and a nikon d3100(+video) for 280£.
All those include an 18-55. Advice please?

Added (1). What I 'm looking for is a cheap dslr to practise. A 2nd hand d60 is prob my best choice, since I do print too and don't want a body with less than 10MP.

Will my kitten ever trust me again?

Yesterday I went to take photos of my kittens and one of them, Muchkin was wondering what my camera was (I have a D3100 Nikon it's a big camera) so she started climbing up my leg I took some photos of that but want a better photo of her so I picked her up but she started to panic and clawed my whole arm! I hit her softly and this time laid her on the ground with her paws up and took the photo. Today I tried taking photos of all my kittens but Munchkin ran (of course) but now everytime I take out my camera she freaks out! Will she ever get use to it! She got over me hitting her since I'm her gateway to food.

If a camera doesn't have a microphone jack, will it not record audio?

I'm looking at the Nikon D3100 to purchase soon. But I keep reading reviews and seeing the mention of the fact that it doesn't have an external microphone jack. I'm new to DSLRs and photography in general. Does the fact that it doesn't have an external microphone jack mean it won't record audio?

With this lens auto focus?

I read something about some lenses not auto focusing with the Nikon D5100 but I was thinking about getting this lens with my kit lens, http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/50317/show.html
but I can't really spend more than £200 on the extra lens but I would like it to be able to auto focus. Though that's not a huge problem,

I'm new to all this photography stuff.

Added (1). Will this lens***

Nikon D50 worth it or outdated?

I've been in contact with someone who is selling a Nikon D50 set up with a 55-200mm non VR lens. His original asking price was $250 and I got him down to $150. I'm familiar with Nikon SLRs as I have been shooting with a D60 and now shoot with a D90 for the past 4-5 years.

I just want to get some feelers and opinions to see if people think this is a decent dea (assuming the camera and lens are in decent condition) l. BTW, after checking the exif data the camera has 10k actuations. I have not looked at the body or glass in person, which I'm doing tonight. Also, seller does not have a charger, manuals or original boxes. Image quality appears to be fine.

Added (1). Chargers run about $3.50 on Ebay and there would be no way to detect if this item was stolen using the exif data bc the D50 did not write serial #s to images.
