Is the digipower travel charger compatible with the nikon d3100?

I'm trying to charge the battery to my nikon d3100.It said on the back of the package it would work but i don't know how to use it and get it to work

That sounds suspect to me. Nikon, as with Canon, makes their own battery chargers specific to their batteries. That's who you should be buying from - Nikon.
