Nikon d7000 Control Panel turned off?
The control panel is turned off.
When i take pictures, the camera still auto focuses for the shot, but the viewfinder remains blurry and instead of the focus points glowing red, the whole viewfinder grows red… Also it is dim
Have you tried using a different lens?
A dim viewfinder may be caused by a stuck aperture in the lens. I guess that this also might mess up the autofocus of the camera then, albeit the viewfinder remaining blurry is not what should happen then.
Have you checked the diopter dial next to your viewfinder? Perhaps it needs to be readjusted and the blurriness of the viewfinder is caused by this, as a separate problem.
What do you mean by control panel? The LCD on top of the camera? Perhaps this can be activated with a menu entry. Or the screen at its back? That should have no bearing at all on the photos that it takes.
Has the camera or lens been dropped? How do the photos themselves look like, do they resemble the blurriness and/or dimness in the viewfinder?
Sounds to me like it is time to check out the warranty of your camera. Contact Nikon support and be prepared to ship them your camera.
