Is Nikon D3200 the best for me?

Okay so I want to buy a DSLR camera. One with amazing results and many options but also user-friendly and not TOO hard to understand. I found out about Nikon D3200 which is on $700 and I could still add the 55-200 mm lens and still remain in my price range of $1000.So give me your views please.

The Nikon D3200 is an awesome camera, it looks good and takes brilliant quality photos since it is a 24.2 megapixel camera.
My thoughts are, if you buy this camera, there would be no need to upgrade to a higher megapixel camera as it is already one of the highest megapixel cameras you can get.
You're lucky you have the money for it, I've been wanting a Nikon D3200 since it came out.

The Nikon D3200 is a perfectly good entry level DSLR. The images it produces will only be as good as your knowledge of correct exposure, composition and lighting.

My recommendation would be to purchase the Nikon D3200 with the 18-55mm kit lens, buy a 50mm F/1.8 lens, a camera bag, a lens cleaning kit, at least 2 Class 10 SD cards (8GB or 16BG is what you want) and a book about learning how to correctly expose your photographs. Shoot in RAW format and learn how to process the images, it's the best way to get the most out of the camera.

Leave the telephoto lens out of it until you have grasped the fundamentals and learned how to operate the camera in all possible conditions (the 50mm F/1.8 will be your best tool for learning how to handle low light photography and depth-of-field).

By the time you've learned how to work the camera you should have saved up enough money to purchase the telephoto lens, then you can get it. I wouldn't start messing around with different lenses as a beginner - then you're getting into perspective distortion due to different focal lengths.

Any D3XXX series are great for people who are starting out with DSLR. The reason is because they have a guide mode. Guide mode helps you get the results you want in your photography by telling you what settings you need to change in order to achieve it.

After so many years of waiting, yesterday I purchased D3200, it is on shipping process so i hav'nt got it in my hand. But I'm sure and telling you any DSLR be it inexpensive or expensive work on same fundamental and basic and 90% technology are same.

It is upto one skill how he/she capture the image. Old timers still work on film slr which have only 3-4 functions i.e. Aperture setting, shutter speed others little thing, and still they catpure the stunning images.

Today technology is so fast, if you were to buy D3200 specifications 5-7 years back, It would be considered hi-end camera. But today it is called just entry level camera.

so if you are not being paid for your images, any DSLR will work for you.
