Need to buy a new battery Nikon D50?

Just looked on the Net… Nikon battery 1300/1500 M amps 50 quid upwards… Generic 1800 MA about 6 Quid… Is there really a difference?

Just buy the genuine Nikon battery. The cheap junk aftermarket batteries are not actually 1800MA. There's a reason the genuine NIkon batteries are expensive.

The reason genuine Nikon batteries are more expensive is that they like to make more profit. Some generic batteries last longer than the Nikon batteries and some don't. You can afford to try a couple of different makes that have good reviews from sites like Amazon and still have plenty of change left compared to buying a Nikon battery. Try some that are a bit higher in price than the very cheapest you can find. The generic battery I'm using in my D50 now always outlasts my genuine Nikon battery.
