Computer not detecting nikon d3200?
Computer is not detecting my nikon d3200. I installed the viewNX2 cd, and i plugged the camera into different usb drivers, and another computer. I'm still not getting anything.
Is anybody having a similar problem?
Is a nikon D3100 considered professional?
I want to go to a concert and bring my camera ( at Mohegan sun) and it says you can bring cameras but no professional equipment. So do you think I could bring my nikon D3100?

Have anyone here used lens adapters with infinity focus?
I use a Nikon D3100 and have access to some old Pentax Takumar K-mount lenses. I can get an adapter from ebay (see link) with a little minus lens built in to allow infinity focus. What is the quality like? Is it worth buying?
I Know the lens and camera must be used manually, this is no problem.

Added (1). I'm not bothered about metering, My Weston Master can do that, as I say I'm quite happy using manual settings.
I didn't know there was a slight teleconverter effect

Okay so i'm thinking about getting the Zykkor super wide angle 0.42x but not sure if it will fit? If not what is a fisheye lens similar that will?
I'm wanting to get into photography as its always been something I enjoy along with design. I've been doing a lot of research lately and the cameras that have appealed to me was the Canon 550d, but after a bit more looking around a little bit more apparently the Nikon d3100 is the same but cheaper? (correct me if i'm wrong). I need ideas from people who might own these cameras or have experience in photography. An additional note, I really don't mind what circumstances this camera lacks in, more image quality.
What camera would be better for filiming video?
I want to do slow motion with the camera and all i have is a Nikon D3100 and a Canon Legria HFR26. Also alot of my filiming will be at night so which one would be best for that also?
