Camera lens info for Nikon D3000?

I have a Nikon D3000 with just the basic lens that it came with. I'm looking for a better lens with better zoom and focus. I don't want it to be super expensive. I just am not sure which lens to get. Anyone help?

Which of these camera's is better in your opinion?

Hi, I currently have a Nikon P5000 camera that has served me well for years. I have had the option of buying a Nikon D60 with add on flash, case and tripod for £200 (which looks to be quite a good deal) Would you keep with the camera I have now? (money isn't an issue)
Has anyone had both cameras and could give me reviews?
Cheers

Why do my pictures get blurry when I don't use a flash?

I'm using a Nikon D50… No matter how much, or how little, light there's… Every time I turn the flash off, it makes the shutter go really slow. On any setting.

Why? How do I fix this?

Using Bulb setting on Nikon D5100 to take night photo with wireless remote?

I have a Nikon D5100 that I'm trying to take a long exposure 5-10 minutes with a wireless remote and tripod. How do I do this with the wireless remote? Set to manual, bulb, and then click the wireless remote once to open shutter and again to close? Is that how it works or do I have to buy a remote with a wire?

Using a NikonD5100 at a concert?

My friends are putting on a concert at a smaller venue/bar tonight and have asked me to use my Nikon D5100 to snap some shots of them. I'm allowed up on stage with them etc.etc. I can shoot anything from anywhere. But I've never taken the camera to a concert and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what the ideal manual settings would be? Venue will be dark with some colorful lighting on the band.

Looking for a great Laptop/Camera backpack?

I've been trying to find a great, affordable laptop/camera bag for college. I'm having a bit of trouble, since the only backpacks I seem to find that work are $200-400. I know that they're probably really great choices for bags, but if I could find something that is a bit more affordable then that would be perfect. For specifics, my laptop's dimensions are 15 × 9.96 × 1.22/1.34 inches and my camera is the Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm lens. There's also supposed to be enough room for a light meter, a wireless camera remote, and a few other smaller photography materials (filters, attachable flash, etc). If you have links to any bags you suggest then feel free to post them!

AVI files work in-camera but not on computer?

I have a Nikon d90 and I took some videos on it. When I play the videos in-camera they work fine but when I try to upload them to my computer about 4 of them don't work, and instead of having the video thumbnail they show up as blank white squares. I've tried converting them to a different format and it didn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Added (1). Jim, I've tried multiple programs and nothing is working. It's only a few of the files that aren't working though, most of them do.
