Camera lens info for Nikon D3000?

I have a Nikon D3000 with just the basic lens that it came with. I'm looking for a better lens with better zoom and focus. I don't want it to be super expensive. I just am not sure which lens to get. Anyone help?

Either the 55-200mm VR or 55-300mm VR lenses will do
all depends on what you want to spend

I'm with Doctor Iblis, you need Nikon mount lenses with a built-in motor, Nikon calls them AF-S.
If buying third-party lenses, make sure they're in Nikon mount and have motors (no motor = no AF), Sigma call theirs HSM, Tamron and Tokina have their own designations.
