How much should I charge for this photo shoot?
Alright, so I'm in no way a professional photographer. But, I do take really good qualities pictures. My cousin has a friend who is having a quiencianera party, and she wants me to be the photographer. I'm taking up to 900 pictures with a Nikon D3000.So, she asked me how much I should charge.
Focusing on a frame with lots of objects?
I have a question.
what if i want to take a photo, that the theme consists of lots of objects,( for example, a cityscape/landscape photography ) and i want everything to be in focus and nothing out or blured.
i own a Nikon d3000 and using a 18-55mm and a 18-105 nikon lenses.
( please forgive my newbie question.
Will a lens (Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR afs 18-55) that came from the box of a Nikon D5000 kit fit on my Nikon D90? I have an 80-200 lens and a 300 macro lens. Would this 18-55 be a good compliment or should I go for 18-200 or something else?
Added (1). Thank you for AW Boater. The 18-55 is cheaper anyway and I only wanted a lens for portraits since my previous N70 lens broke.
Taylor, there's such a thing as a 300mm macro zoom lens. I purchased one years ago with my N70.It works great with my D90 by the way.

Nikon D5000 and Mac. Why can't I watch AVI-format video at 1280x720p on my Mac?
I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I can't watch AVI-format video at 1280x720p. This is strange, because I haven't the same problem with the first two formats, 640x424 and 320x216. What's the problem? Moreover, my iMovie doesn't support AVI-files of D5000. I tried to convert them with MPEG Stremclip, but I get a reduced quality. Have you any suggestions? I hope so. Please, help me. I want to try to create a video-test, but everything is getting so complicated (or maybe I'm the incapable. It's sure -.-).
Intentionally blurred picture?
I'm borrowing my friends Nikon D3100 and would like to create (in a separate program, if necessary) or (preferably) take a picture with my body in a stationary position and a blurred picture of my head in multiple different positions, something like 3:26-3:28 in the music video Ich Tu Dir Weh (found here: http://vimeo.com/...m/13543478 ).
I know I have to decrease shutter speed (I've used about 1 second the past couple of attempts), but every time I try taking the picture with the only alteration being the difference in shutter speed, the image of my face is really, really faded. Any idea how to obtain the effect I'm looking for?

I was looking through craigslist for a dslr to buy.heres the basic information:

PERFECT CONDITION and RARELY USED.
I managed to bargain the price down to 475 from 550. He has no receipt and therefore no warranty and it could be stolen. Any idea on whether this is worth the price? Should I back out or buy it?
Which lens 35mm or 18-70 nikon?
I'm a young photographer and i don't have much money i eaither want a 35mm dx lens or a 18-70mm lens i have a nikon d5100 i used Pentax before this (k-x k-r).so what lens should i pick i want the 35mm because of the f/1.8 and iv'e herd this lens is very sharp. But i want the 18-70 because of its reach.
I'm in year book so i need a good lens for events and also family evens portraits and have a wedding to do in September please help.

High School Photographer. New Camera?
I'm going into 10th grade and I'm pretty serious about photography. I'm taking a photo class and I already have a camera which is the Nikon D3000, But what I need help with is taking the next step as a amateur photographer, and choosing a new camera that is below $1, 000 and will get me better pictures than my current camera. There's nothing wrong with my D3000, it's just that I'm ready to move on to a better camera that obviously will provide better photos.
