Why won't my Nikon D90 connect to my Mac Air?
I'm running Lion… It won't even show as connected on my desktop. Following instructions on manual… Camera off, plug in, camera on… Nothing. Any ideas?

I sold something on Ebay, now the person wants their money back. Do I have to refund it?
I don't own a business or anything so I was selling a camera as an independent seller.
I listed that I was selling a USED Nikon D60 with an 18-55mm lens and a battery and charger.
I said the camera was in like new condition and I said it was coming with the lens, battery, and charger.
Now the person I sold the camera to is mad that it didn't come with a USB wire, and he is also mad that the battery and charger are generic and not Nikon made.
I never said I was going to be sending him any other accessories, just the camera, lens, battery, and charger.
Am I obligated to refund the man? I have already used the money he sent me ($300, which is a good deal… ) to pay bills.
He said "Please, how do we fix this problem?". I told him there wasn't a problem because I listed exactly what I would be selling to him and then he said I was being difficult and causing problems.
Do I have to refund him? I really don't think I do, considering he got what he payed for; A camera in like new condition with a battery and charger.
I think he expected more and got let down and is now bad.
Anyways, do I have to refund him? Or is it tough luck on his behalf?

Nikon D3100 help? Bonfire photos?
I'm new to photography and the new proud owner of the Nikon D3100. I will be shooting in many different sporting situations (football, baseball, indoor volleyball, etc.) as well as portraits for friends and family. This fall I have been asked to take pictures at a friends birthday party and it will be a bonfire in the woods. I was wondering if there's anyway I could get quality pictures without using a flash at the bonfire? I'd like to use the most "natural" light from the fire as possible. If someone could tell me step by step directions to setting up the camera, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Added (1). I have an 18 to 55mm lens and a 55 to 200mm lens. If that makes a difference…

Which Camera to buy in below 35000 price range?
Hi.actually it was a dream for me to buy a camera(NIKON or CANON) for many year i was wishing, so when it comes closer to buy a camera i'm actually confused. Its because i'm confuse with DSLR or Bridge camera(Long Zoom-Point and Shoot) to buy. Also adding more detail i actually like to take distance photos(long zoom) also meeting low light conditions in the night photos. Also adding i like to buy a DSLR camera but with the money in my hand (about 35000) i can't but a long ranged(in zoom) DSLR camera.
some of the cameras that i have researched through this period: Nikon series P510, D3100, D3200, D5100 & CANON series SX40HS, 1100D, 550D
also Its not a case of mixing both DSLR and point and shoot… I'm actually confused with long zoom range of point and shoot(bridge) cameras and DSLR's long shoot camera lens are high price range(and mine only a budget of 35000)
so kindly please provide a suitable suggestion for which camera (also any other cameras you can suggest) to buy within my price range

Is zooming the only way to change aperture?
Sorry if this sounds like a really stupid question… I'm just really confused.
I have a Nikon D50 and the little screen on top shows me the f number… F/stop, is that what it is? Anyways, I just have the 18-55mm lens that came with this camera. When I'm at 18mm it's f/3.5, and increases all the way to f/5.6 at 55mm… A smaller number means a larger aperture, which means more light, right? So, is it possible to get a smaller f/stop than 5.6 when I'm zoomed in at 55mm?

Outdoor Flash Portrait Photography?
So I have a portrait shoot soon with a friend and I'd like to try out this technique I've heard so much about.
Supposedly, it involves over exposing or underexposing the background and using the flash to expose your subject. I've seen how some of the photos look really dramatic with low key and high key lighting. I've seen and admired the "Invisible White/Black Backdrop".
Here's my gear which I will list:
Nikon D90
Nikon D5000
18-200mm f5.6 G VR
50mm f1.8 G
SB-700 Flash (comes with diffuser, bounce card, and color gels. I have no other third party diffusers)
I'd like to really achieve good technique and great results. I want to use my D90 with the 18-200mm and the SB-700 flash to do the outdoor flash portraits and use the D5000 with the 50mm f1.8 G as a backup camera and get other great portraits using bokeh.
Thank you for your time and any input would be greatly appreciated.
Added (1). @pk: Not only am I trying to achieve the black background but I would also like to get a white background also. Thanks for the advice.
Added (2). @ pk: By "this technique I've heard so much about" I'm talking about outdoor black or white backgrounds, and outdoor flash portraits in general.

When I have my memory card inserted into my Nikon D3100 it shows that I only have two photos. However when I insert the card into my photo printer it shows all of the photos on the card! What did I do wrong? Why aren't all these photos showing up on the camera itself?

What does it mean when you are buying a Nikon camera and it says Body Only?
I'm interested in buying a Nikon camera, probably the Nikon D5100. I found a good deal and it says it comes with body only. Does that mean it comes with no lenses? If so does that mean I wouldn't be able to take pictures without a lense? Sorry I'm a beginner and I would appreciate if someone could explain this!

Tomorrow morning I'm going to this garden place with my Nikon D3100. I don't have any macro lenses, I only have 18-55mm lens and 55-200mm lens. Which one could take better pictures of the flowers?

Good macro lens for Nikon D3100?
I have the Nikon D3100 with the 18-55mm lens and 55-200mm lens. I want a good macro lens. Is there any good macro lenses under $1000?
