W/ Pics: 200mm NIKKOR Not Great Clarity?
My AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED lens has been losing its stunning clarity. It is mounted on the Nikon D3100 (don't make fun.). When I first bought it, around November, the clarity of my photos was amazing. I received an iMac for Christmas and began using Aperture for my editing, instead of the simple Microsoft software.
Do you think it is Aperture, the lens, or even my computer that has changed or is losing the clarity? Or is making me think the clarity is dropping?
I took this photo today:
I'm not greatly pleased when I view it on the large full-screen iMac.
What do you think?
… Or is it just my inner critic?
Added (1). Oh yes, thank you for telling me it is dreadful. Really needed that. Not your decision, buddy!

Does the sd card quaity matter for a camera?
Ok I have a Nikon D3000 and I was looking at some SD cards, 32G, But some are like $60 and some are $30, do the SD cards make a difference in the quality of the pictures or do they make a difference at all? Then why the drastic price differences?

Hi, I'm looking at several of the older Nikon/nikkor lenses and I'm not sure which one to get for my D3200. I'm looking at the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 E, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AI, and the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AI. If anybody has any other suggestions, I'm open to hear them, but keep in mind I'm on a budget.

Nikon d7000 Auto Focus Problems! - 1
Just got a brand new Nikon d7000 less than a week ago and today all of a sudden out of the blue the AutoFocus does not work. Won't focus and if you try and press the shutter it won't take pics either. Manual focus works fine. What is going on? Any suggestions on what might have happened!
I'm using the Nikon d7000 with the 18-105mm VR lens. Both the auto focus button on the camera and on the lens are clicked to auto focus but it won't work. If I switch the buttons to manual it works fine. Brand new camera… Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Added (1). Pretty sure the lens is securely attached… Heard a click when I put it on, and it won't turn anymore. The lens had been attached to the camera and not removed until the autofocus stopped working.
Tried the lens again, tried resetting to factory settings, checked all autofocus buttons on camera and lens, checked for focus locks… Anything else that I might be missing?

Added (1). Bought the camera online with a return policy of less than 200 shutter actuation's… I've gone past that. But I have a 2 year warranty for it so…
Card is in… Did not format it although I've been shooting with the card for the past 3-4 days with everything working okay.
Added (2). Both switches on both the camera and lens are switched to A - Auto.
Everything is set the same on the camera today as it was last night when it was working fine. Tried taking lens off and putting it back on… All switches are switched to Auto on… Tried resetting the camera to factory settings… Checked for all autofocus lock options in the menu and the lock switch on the camera as well… Is there anything else perhaps that I can try?

I currently own the Nikon D5100 with an 18-55 lens and i'm interested in purchasing a lens with a better zoom, and by zoom i mean being able to capture things that are far away not line zooming way into a flower. What type of lens would best fit my needs and is not too expensive (less than $300)

What is your opinion of the Canon Powershot SX500 IS for a beginner photographer? - 1
I want a Nikon D3200, and was saving up for it, but I got the Canon Powershot SX500 IS for Christmas. I'm a beginning photographer who wants to fine-tune her skills. The camera doesn't take bad pictures (I spent yesterday trying it out), they're actually pretty crisp and I like them. However, the camera isn't a DSLR like I had wanted. Does that matter?

Can i use full frame lenses on dx format camera. In this case Nikon D7000?

How to build your own underwater housing unit for your camera?
I have a Nikon D3000 and don't want to spend a lot of money on an underwater housing unit but would like to take some under water shots. I was thinking going out in the surf and taking pictures of my friends surfing and boogie boarding. It does not need to be able to go to deep just enough for me to dive under waves if necessary maybe 20 feet. Any suggestions on how to build one. Links, videos, anything.

I personally have a Nikon D7000, but not because I prefer Nikon over the other brands, it's just what my Dad bought and I now have, and I've learnt on it so am familiar with it compared to any other brands. As I said, I'm not specifically supporting Nikon as a favourite, I just have one of their cameras.
But tell me, do you prefer Nikon or Cannon or Pentax, and then tell me why? I mean, all three produce high quality DSLR Cameras, so why is there so much rivalry?
