I need a better Portrait Lens for NIKON D3100?

I bought the nikkor 35mm 1.8 AF-S lens a few months ago for my d3100 because I do a lot of portrait work and it is the most highly recommended for the d3100. However, the depth of field is still not as shallow and creamy as I would love to see in my portraits.
I'm looking for a lens that will achieve beautiful bokeh for under about $800.

Have been considering either of the Nikkor AF-S models 50mm 1.4 or 85mm 1.8
I have also read about Rokinon's 85mm 1.4 which sounds like a nice cheaper option but it would not have auto focusing on my 3100 and I don't know how hard manual focusing would be for me since i've never done that.

Anyone have any ideas, suggestions or opinions on where to go from here and or what to purchase?
I mostly do outdoor shoots of models, couples or children.

Witch speedlight is better and why?

Witch is better and why.

The Yongnuo YN-468 II or the Yongnuo YN-560 II

You can give me some technical reasons. I'm fairly good with camera knowledge.
The Yn-468 II it an i-TTL flash. I shoot with a Nikon D3100.
the Yn-468 II has a trigger voltage of 3.3 volts. Is that right?
I like to work with available light and do not need the best in the west.

Yongnuo Yn-468 II i-TTL Speedlight?

I would like to get a speedlight for my Nikon D3100 and I'm really confused.
First is this a good speedlight?
Will it be fully compatible with my Nikon D3100?
Will it auto set all of the functions? (Zoom, Power, ETC)

http://www.amazon.com/...007E3PSGW/

You can get it on Amazon for not too much.
I like to do nature photography with available light. I really do not do many portraits, so I do not need the best one out there. I would like to get a Nikon one, but the only one I can afford is the SB-400.
The SB-400 does not have the functions I want like swivial and stuff.
Does the flash have to be set off by the on camera flash?
I want it to just talk to the camera. Not wait for the cameras flash then go off.
I hope I'm making sense. This the only photography question that has stumped me.
Will this flash just let me put it on the hot shoe and will set it's self up?
All I will have to do is control my cameras settings right?

Taking pictures for a prom! (Nikon D5000 settings)?

I go to a very small school and prom is not actually part of the school so I was asked today by the fellow students setting it up if I would take pictures for it, the prom is tomorrow. I'm just taking pictures of kids on the dance floor and around the prom. I don't have much in the way of professional camera equipment for my Nikon D5000, but I have two lenses (a 55 and a 200 mm), optic lenses (HD PL, HD FLD, and HD UV) for my 55, a tripod, a mono-pod, and a gorilla pod, and a 5n1 reflector (Gold, Silver, Black, White, and Translucent). No extra flashes or any type of lighting that I can afford.

My question is should I use any of the equipment I have and what should I set my camera settings to so I can get clear, shots of prom goers having fun (and not blind everyone with flash all night)?

Thanks!

Added (1). I just ordered a Neewer speedlite and a diffuser box for my camera on Amazon. So now I really just need to know what to set my ISO, shutter speed, ect at.
