Ok I have a Nikon D3000 and I was looking at some SD cards, 32G, But some are like $60 and some are $30, do the SD cards make a difference in the quality of the pictures or do they make a difference at all? Then why the drastic price differences?

First, you do not NEED a 32 gb card. Just that much more to lose if your card becomes corrupt. Better to have a handful of 4 gb cards.

Your work flow needs to include copying all your images to your computer at the end of each shooting day to a new file folder named for the client/subject/location and date. It is rare that someone ever fills a 4 gb card in a single shooting session. If you do, then just insert a second one and keep shooting.

Once they are all safely on the computer, you need to format the card using the format feature in the camera.

Memory cards are NOT permanent storage devices. They need to be formatted on a routine basis to assure top performance.

The good thing about 4 gb cards is that you can burn 4.3 gb DVD backups right from the card.

The Class card has more to do with the cost of the card and some cards are sold at "sale" prices from time to time. A Class 10 card will cost more than a Class 4.

All memory cards capture the digital information supplied to it by your camera when you take a shot. That information is nothing but a bunch of zeros and ones.
