Nikon D40 best settings to use?
My sisters christening is tomorrow! And i've been asked to take photos, what is the best setting to put the Nikon D40 camera on? I'm new to this camera! The pictures i take come out blury:/

I can't seem to decide which brand I want next. I know Sigma has better build quality than Tamron but is a little more expensive. Tamron is cheaper but not as solidly build.
Which brand would you buy?
P.S. I'm debating on getting either the
Sigma 18-50mm/Tamron 17-50 (2.8)
OR
Sigma 24-70mm/Tamron 28-75mm (2.8)
for my Nikon D3000.
Any input on these lenses will be appreciated.

I have a doubt here in my mind. I'm using Nikon D5000 and just bought my SB-600 speedlight. I wonder can I use the built-in flash in my D5000 to trigger off the SB-600 as wireless slave flash? I know D5000 has no commander mode, but I ever tried it with Nissin speedlight before and it's successful. So, I want to know can it works with SB-600 too? If yes, how to set the mode? Please, I need to know this.

What sort of camera lenses do I need for movie quality?
I just got a Nikon D5000 and I was wondering what sort of lenses would make movie quality videos?
Can anyone help me out?

I want a Nikon buy can't decide between the D3100 or D5000. Which one would you buy and why?

I have a nikon D70 and a nikon sb600 flash. I might get an sb700 and another sb600 for Christmas. Would it be more worth it to get an sb900 and sb600? I like outdoor portraits and use flash for other uses too.

While shooting landscape on a bright, sunny day should I decrease the aperture? - 1
I have a wideangle lens on my Nikon D3100 and I like to take wideangle, high depth of field landscape shots. I've realised that by decreasing the aperture (increasing the f number), we get a high depth of field. But the shutter speed decreases and I don't get sharp photos. If I increase the shutter speed, the photo either turns out darker or it loses depth of field in spite of being quite sharp. Why does it lose depth of field upon increasing shutter speed?
Is there any way out of this? This is quite a big dilemma. And I'm really new into DSLR photography, so far having played with only point and shoots.

Recently I'd bought Nikon D5000… Am new to SLR Photography… Now when I started using my SLR it says, SUBJECT IS TOO DARK… And am unable to use it properly, pictures are too blurry. Can anybody help me with its settings so that I'd be able to use it properly and take good pictures.
