Doing my first bridal session, need tips?

I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but would love to become better at it and make it a side job apart from being a sahm!
Anyways, I'm doing my cousins bridal portraits next weekend (2 weeks before the wedding), just would love any tips on shooting the protraits. I have a nikon D3000, 55-200mm and 18-55mm lens. We're taking photos outside at biotanical gardens here in TX. I'm so afraid of sitting her down in her dress.

tips: Iso, settings, etc.

Added (1). OMG… Wasn't suppose to be 'fee' it was. Suppose to be 'FEW' tips for portraits. I'm not charging. Just practicing! I'm shooting at 9:30 am. I've done research about photography.

If i found a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AiS Lens for under $50.is that skeptical?

I've been searching to buy a new lens. I have a Nikon D40… So i know this lens is really old so it can only Manual focus BUT for the price… Is that skeptical? The person selling says its used but its still in a good functioning state. Should i buy it? Or where else would be a good place to look at used lens?

Calling all final cut pro experts. Frame Rate drop/lag when importing movies?

So it sounds simple. I took a movie with my new Nikon D3100 HD camera, imported it to Final Cut Pro, and for some reason it has bad frame rate drop and lag to the point where it almost freezes.

I have no idea how to tackle this… Codecs, movie formats, resolution, who knows?

Added (1). Kind: Quicktime Movie
Codec: H.264
Res: 1920X1080

Added (2). - Video plays back fine when played in quicktime.

- NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

Added (3). 4 GB DDR3, 2.4 GHZ

Nikon D3000 SimCard?

I just got my Nikon D3000 yesterday, And it didn't come with a Sim Card
So, I got one today.
And I put it in and I was just using it a little bit, And taking pictures,
When like all of a sudden a notice popped up saying the card was damaged and to put a new one in?
Is there any way to fix this, Without getting a whole new card?
I don't understand how it could be damaged?

No Fisheye Effect when zoomed in?

I bought a Fisheye Macro adapter for my Nikon D5000, and unless i'm zoomed out at 18mm, the "ring" and fisheye effect is no longer noticeable above that 18mm.

Should I add another macro filter to see if this changes?

Fisheye adapter here:

Thanks!

Added (1). Note that I can't afford to spend $900 on a real fisheye lens, thanks for the effort though…
