Clicking/ringing noise coming from Nikon D3000 camera lens?

I recently dropped my camera about 1ft from a table onto a chair and now a weird clicking/ringing noise comes from the lens whenever I push the shutter button half-way. It's not loud and it doesn't affect the quality of my photos at all but it still irritates me since it wasn't there before.

Obviously it's from the drop and I'm taking it to get fixed but would anyone know what exactly is making this noise or what could be broken inside my camera lens?

Added (1). No sarcastic answers please.

I know it's from the drop, I take care of my camera despite the fact that it slipped from a table, and I know how to use my camera, so please don't underestimate me.

Looking for serious answers.

Added (2). I also do have a bestbuy warranty for my camera.

I want it for Christmas, but if I can't change the lenses then I don't want it.

What UV filter brand is best for Nikon D90?

I would like to invest into a lense protector for my Nikkor lense.mainly to just protect the lense from finger prints, scratches, and dust.
Are there any crappy, cheap filters out there, like Rocketfish? And on that note, should I purchase a UV filter or a "circular polarizer?" i really don't know.
i've heard that UV filters can cause mildew and fungus to grow on lense bcuz UV filter blocks sun? I mostly do urban photography and only take it to high altitude mountain trips for summer vacations. I have a 52 mm diameter lense i'm pretty sure, its the 0 with a slash across it right?
and how do you actually put on these filters? Is there enough room for the cap to go over it without scratching it [filter]? Sorry, a lotta question but i don't wanna screw this up. 10 points for best answer!

Nikon D5000 SLR, Nikon D3100 SLR, Canon Rebel Ti2?

I'm trying to decide what kind of SLR camera to buy. And i'm currently just looking into Nikon and Canon. I'm trying to decide between the Nikon D5000, Nikon D3100, and the Canon Rebel Ti2.

i have heard from some people i know who have the D5000 that it works very well and that Canon models are not as good as Nikons?

in general though, please tell me in your own opinion whether based on experience or becasue you are a photographer, which one of the three are the best kind of SLR camera for an intermediate photographer who does not want to spend thousands of dollars for a real one? XD

can someone tell me:

- pros, cons about either?
- things i should know about either?

all answers are appreciated!
