Nikon D3000 SimCard?

I just got my Nikon D3000 yesterday, And it didn't come with a Sim Card
So, I got one today.
And I put it in and I was just using it a little bit, And taking pictures,
When like all of a sudden a notice popped up saying the card was damaged and to put a new one in?
Is there any way to fix this, Without getting a whole new card?
I don't understand how it could be damaged?

SIM card? Cell Phones use SIM cards, you must be talking about the SD card. Clean the contacts on the card and make sure it's not on write protect
