Is there a noticeable advantage in f/1.8 over f/2?
I have a bit of a complicated question.
On short notice I will be photographing a greyhound race, at night in a moderately lit track.
I currently have a Nikon D7000 with kit 18-105 3.5/5.6 and a 60mm f/2.8D.
I would like to get a faster lens as I'm concerned f/2.8 on the 60mm might be too slow to achieve shutter speeds that won't blur.
I might be able to get some $$ for a 50 1.4 but I doubt it.
so 35mm f/2, 35mm f/1.8

Is the Nikon D3000 lenses compatible with the D5000?
I've got a Nikon D3000 and am looking to change up to a Nikon D5000. I've got what I hope is a compatible lens, just wondering what people think.
Lens: Nikon 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR AF-S DX NIKKOR
I've heard there might be a problem with a focus motor, but I think the AF-S means it should work with the D5000?
Any ideas/suggestions/explanations would be great.

What's the difference between the Nikon D5000 and the D90?
I've been looking at the specification, and they don't seem much different, but the D90 is quite a bit more expensive! Why is this?

Best, reasonably priced, Nikon DSLR?
I'm buying a new DSLR, and i don't want to pay more then £750 for it (Camera body AND lens). I'm currently looking at the D90, but anymore suggestions would be appreciated. There are a few things that are a MUST, it must have HDR(photo bracketing), compatable with alot of lenses and filters, easy to use, good image quality (really not bothered about video quality) etc etc.
A good camera for taking all different kinds of photo's, mainly portrait, landscape and macro shots.
Also, anyone with a Nikon D90 or A Nikon D3100, can you tell me what you think of these cameras?

A good travel tripod for DSLR?
I want to get a a light weight travel tripod for my Nikon D60. Looking at a few travel tripods on amazon and their reviews, i got the feeling light weight ones don't often support DSLRs. Is there any reliable light weight ones that are reliable?
