Canon EOS Rebel T1i. Nikon D3100
I'm new to photography beyond the point and shoot of, well, a point and shoot camera or a cell phone, but I'm looking for DSLR that'll last-one that I can use for a long period of time (years) without feeling limited.
Of the two listed in the title (Canon EOS Rebel T1i and Nikon D3100) which do you feel is the better camera (better suited) including video, quality, weight, etc? Are there others that are worth investigating? My budget is $800 for now.

What strobes are best for a home photo studio?
I'd like to be able to move them too. I have a Nikon D60. I'm not sure what I should look for particularly.

Camera lenses compatible with Nikon?
I'm thinking about buying a new Nikon camera, either a D5000 or a D90, and I have these lenses:
Soligor C/D 35-140 mm f/3.8-5.3
Chinon 50mm f/1.9
Vivitar 28mm f/2.8
Tokina AT-X 50-250mm f/4-5.6
These are all manual lenses I used on some old film cameras. Is there any sort of adapter or converter I could buy so that I could use these lenses on a new Nikon?

Which digital SLR camera is right for me?
There are three cameras that i'm debating on. I like taking pictures with very high quality and crispness, with minumum effort and clearness in every shot. I also wanted a screen that could flip different ways including towards me when the cameras facing me ( so i can see my self when taking self pics) . I don't want to spend over around 750$ and i want it to have video recording and zoom. It needs a lens with it. Which of these is right for me? And if you have any other sugggesetions on nice cameras include them in your answer. I feel the Nikon D5000 fits my needs, any reviews on it?

What to do? How to get sharp crisp pics?
I'm a beginner with a strong passion in photography and I need some support and knowledge to improve. I have a Nikon D5000 and a 55-200mm lens. I want to take people pics that are sharp and crisp. How do I gain this? A different lens or should I change to Canon? If so which model and lens to go with.
Please check out my photos on Facebook at Myhunnahbee Photography. Any feed back would be appreciated to improve. We only learn by trial and time and much needed feedback.

What would be a good set up for shooting night sports?
I'm running a Nikon D3100 currently with a 18 to 55 lens.
The other night I was photographing some of my good skier friends doing this rail at night (urban skiing). I was shooting with a Shutter Speed around 1/250, Aperture: f/4.0 and ISO on auto. My friend also lent me his really old flash which produced practically the same result as my build in flash. The pics turned out decent but I still think I can get them better…
I was wondering if anybody with any experience or knowledge could help me out in selecting the proper ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed…
Also if you could advise in order what upgrades I should get for my camera (eg: flash, new lense (what type?), etc.

Any good photography websites?
I'm trying to get into photography.
I just bought a Nikon D3100
I currently browse PictureCorrect.com but I was wondering if there are any other good websites for picking up tips and whatnot?

When will be the New model of Canon 550D coming?

What to DSLR to get this Christmas?
I'll be buying my first DSLR this Christmas, and I haven't decided yet on what I should buy. I have my thoughts on the Nikon D90 and Canon 60D at the moment.
The Nikon is 250 dollars cheaper than the Canon, from where I live.
But the specifications of the 60D is much more advanced than the Nikon D90 (which is already two years old)
I've read that even though the D90 has 11 autofocus points, it only has one cross-type point, compared to the 60D which has 9 cross-types.
So, does that mean that the 60D has a faster and more accurate focus than the D90?
What can you suggest?
The 60D will only get me the 18-135mm Kit, while the Nikon can get me an extra lens ( a 50mm f1.4 AF-D) together with the 18-105mm Kit for it's price.
Added (1). *What DSLR to get this Christmas
I made a typo in the title.
Pardon the little mistake:-)
Added (2). @Vernan
Well, once I get either brands, I wouldn't be switching systems anymore. Both of them are great, but what's pulling me away from them is budget. The D90 sells almost as similarly with the 60D
The dilemma that's confusing me right now is that, with the Nikon, I could get another lens with the 60D's budget, whereas the 60D gets me a better camera minus the extra portrait lens.
