Camera lenses compatible with Nikon?

I'm thinking about buying a new Nikon camera, either a D5000 or a D90, and I have these lenses:
Soligor C/D 35-140 mm f/3.8-5.3
Chinon 50mm f/1.9
Vivitar 28mm f/2.8
Tokina AT-X 50-250mm f/4-5.6
These are all manual lenses I used on some old film cameras. Is there any sort of adapter or converter I could buy so that I could use these lenses on a new Nikon?

The Nikon D90 (and new D7000) can use any of the Nikon auto-focus lenses as well as the older manual AI lenses made after 1977. NO adapter is necessary. My guess is that your listed lenses may or may not be AI compliant, so you will have to have them converted (about $25 each). Of the four listed, the Tokina may be AI compliant.
The D5000 is an entry level camera and can't use any of the manual focus Nikon lenses and use the light meter in the camera. It can use the older AF lenses but in the manual mode only using the electronic rangefinder in the cameras viewfinder. Since the Nikon entry level cameras are designed for beginning dSLR users, they usually do not have any legacy lenses and will be buying AF-S lenses as they build their systems
NOTE: Here is a link you will find helpful if you intend to look for good used legacy lenses.

Fhotoace is, still, wrong about this. If these are nikon manual focus they will fit on any nikon body but you will need a d7000 or better to have the light meter work.
