Lenses for a Canon and Nikon?

Since the cameras are so expensive, I'm looking for lenses that are below $400 for Nikon and Canon.
Any suggestions?
I will mostly be using the camera for making music videos.

P.S. I have never owned a SLR camera before. Thats why my budget for the lenses is low. What I need is a lenses that is good for a starter. I'm only in highschool.

I'm looking to buy a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D and I found one on KEH.com: http://www.keh.com/camera/Nikon-Autofocus-Fixed-Focal-Length-Lenses/1/sku-NA06999053480X3?r=FE

It says it is refurbished- does anyone known if that's factory refurbished by Nikon, or refurbished by KEH? The site doesn't specify which it is.

Also, if the item is in Like New minus condition, it says that is may ship without accessories like caps… Would they really ship a lens without a lens cap?

Nikon Camera lens error?

I have a Nikon P60 and sometimes it randomly says "lens error". But it works fine. When I turn it off it sometimes says lens error, then I press the power button and it's back to normal. Also whenever it says lens error it freezes until I press the power button.

So is this normal, should I return it, or just wait and see what happens, will it go away?

If I were to sell my Nikon FM2 (silver) with original 75mm zoom lense?

What kind of price would I be looking for? It's in fantastic condition with no faults.

I'm looking for a Nikon 35mm Film Camera for School?

I'm getting ready to go to college for my photography degree and they require that I have a 35mm camera for film classes. I was wondering what Nikon model was a great 35mm SLR that I could use in school… Any suggestions?

Or Micro lens I guess? I have a Nikon D 5000. I don't want to spend more than 300 ideally, any suggestions?

Fujifilm FinePix XP10 / XP11 --this is the camera I want to buy because it is water proof and I'm going on a snorkeling vacation. In general, are fuji film cameras good? I have never gotten a camera from here, always from Nikon or Cannon. I need a reasonably priced underwater camera. Anyone have any good suggestions? If any of you have this camera, does it work good for taking pictures out of land as well? Are the pictures clear and does this camera work good underwater? If you have a good underwater camera, tell me. I will look at anything.

What are some really good digital photography for beginners books?

I'm looking for a book with very great breakdown and step by step tips on how to use an SLR. It's for my roommate and she just bought a Nikon SLR recently, but does not know how to use it, except to point and shoot.
