Camera/Camcorder or Drone?

I want to know what type of camera I should get. I will be using it for: Filming Skateboarding, Making little vacation/landmark videos, taking a few pictures… My main focus is filming skating and things. I would definitely take lots of aerial shots too, which makes the drone more appealing… Ideas? My budget is about $400-$500 max. I'm looking at the DJI Phantom 3 Standard, Canon HF series camcorders, and Canon and Nikon beginner DSLRs. Any help appreciated.

Full Frame (FX), Crop sensor (DX) Confusion?

Hi, I'm really confused on this. I know that the Crop sensor (DX because i use nikon) or APS-C i think it's called has a smaller sensor than a full frame. My understanding is that when you put an FX lens on a DX its focal length is multiplied by 1.5 (Am i right?), but when you put DX lens on an FX the image is cropped. When they say it gets cropped does it mean it actually creates a smaller image? So if a Full frame camera normally produced a 6000x4000 image would it be 4000x2666 or something with a DX lens on it? Please correct me on this if i'm wrong.

So if an FX lens on a DX body is multiplied by 1.5 for focal length, would it produce the same quality? For example if i put an FX lens on a DX body with a multiplied focal length to create a focal length of 400, would a DX lens with a focal length of 400 be better quality? (Not including the quality differences in the lenses themselves!)

So to summarize if you put FX lens on DX body the focal length would be multiplied by 1.5 right? And if you put a DX lens on a FX body it would be a smaller image correct?

My Nikon 18-55mm kit lens clicks when zooming?

I can't seem to find any info about this. When i turn the zoom ring it goes click click click inside it. I haven't damaged it or anything so i do not know what is happening. I only bought it like 2 and a half weeks ago with my D3300. Specifically it clicks when i extend it from its compact position to 18 or when i extend from 24 -18 (and vice versa)

Added (1). Also I can't see any problems. I don't know if VR is the cause or anything and I'm pretty sure it's working

Why is my Nikon D3300 producing all black photos when my flash is off?

My pictures come out fine when I have the flash open and on but when it's closed my pictures come out pitch black even when it's sunny outside with great lighting. I just purchased this camera brand new from best buy a month ago. But the return policy is 15 days. I'm just worried I wasted 400$.

Best Nikon lens for travel?

I will be traveling to Hawaii this summer with family and will be taking my Nikon D7100. I have a few lenses already which include a 35mm 1.8, 100mm 2.8, and a 10-24 3.5-4.5. What I'm looking for is something that can take good wide angle landscape shots, but portraits as well. Telephoto capabilities are not too much of a concern for me. Not too interested in switching and carrying around extra lenses.

Thanks in advance for feedback and suggestions.

16x9 Photo Conversion

I have a standard sized photo taken with my Nikon DSLR and would like to convert that image to a 16x9 cinematic aspect ratio. I did this no problem in Lightroom but I would like to add the black bars on top and bottom to make it more cinematic. My question is what size should the image be with the black bars on it? Is it 16x9 with or without black bars?

How to go about fixing my Nikon 85mm 1:1.8D lens?

I went on a portrait shoot last week and all of a sudden my pictures started coming out way over exposed. When I took a closer look I noticed that the aperture diaphragm blades were unraveled and loose inside my lens. It's a brand new $300 lens I got just 3 months ago, I only used it 4 times. I went online to Nikon and just to send it in was gonna cost $98.00 which is a complete rip off. Any suggestions on a cheaper repair plan or if it's gonna cost more to fix then it's worth?
