Nikon D4 versus Nikon D3S?
I'm an amateur photographer slowly starting to get more business. I do not know a lot about the technical aspect of photography to be honest, but I'm confident to say I can get some pretty great shots. I try to do a little bit of everything to get more experience. I'm in need of a new camera, I have a Nikon D70, which I got when I was around 11, and am now 20. I have no clue how to decide on what to buy. I love my camera, but it is time for an upgrade. Any help, or insight is appreciated.
I'd look at a Nikon D5200 or maybe a D7000. Unless you have $8, 000 burning a hole in your pocket.
I don't think you're ready for an $8, 000 camera. Are you? I'd look at some cameras that are a little more modest in cost. A few being Nikon D3200 / D5200, D7000. Cheaper would be a D3100. You don't want to buy more camera than you can handle.
If you can't decide between the D4 and D3s, you need to do some more independent research.
Since these $5, 300 to $6, 000 camera bodies are mostly used by pros, you need to connect with some and ask questions about them once you have done all the research you can.
I'm sure you have been to the Nikon website and compared the two cameras, but have you visited any of these sites?

While the sensor on the D4 out performs the D3s, there's one area the D3s excels. In low light photography, like shooting night or indoor sports.

As you search the internet, look for reviews by professional camera reviewers and do NOT depend upon those users that have few photographic skills or unrealistic expectations of a camera.
You may want to look at the Nikon D800 as an alternative camera. Its sensor performance sits atop all the other cameras at this time and costs less than $4, 000 with the battery grip and second battery
