How to record myself playing guitar and film it? - 2
K this question might sound confusing, I'll try and describe it as best I can.
For my History of Rock n' Roll class we're to do a final project and I was thinking of recording myself playing to about 10 or so songs through the decades.
I have a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera, a guitar, a Korg Tone Works AX100G guitar floorboard, a guitar amp, computer, USB mic, sound system (that I play my guitar through) and cords connecting all that.
I'm looking for the easiest possible way and clearest way for me to record myself playing along with songs (visual and audio). I have used a program called Audacity for recording myself making songs and whatnot. However I think if I do that it'd be imposible to match it up with the video.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

DSLR with most versatile lens?
Hello… I'm struggling to settle on a camera… In short I would like DSLR image quality and creative control but am put off by the idea of lens changing. The body I'm looking at is nikon d3100 but I'm open to other suggestions. Now the question is: what lens would give me the best flexibility and power in macro and telephoto? Forgive my ignorance, but is there a true "all in one" lens that can go from macro to powerful zoom without compromising on image quality AND that has some sort of good image stabilization so I don't have to be a slave to the tripod? Would a dslr with 18-200mm lens accomplish this? How does that compare to, say, a 24x optical zoom on a good ultra zoom camera?

How to take out the Information Display on a Nikon D3000?
When I want to take a picture I can't see anything because of the Information Display.

My computer does recognize that I've put an SD card in?
This is the first time I've ever used an SD card (because my new Nikon D3100 uses SD cards); before I used Memory Stick Pro Duo cards.
I know that I've put it in the right place though because the little green light thing is on, but nothing happens.
I thought that Autoplay would pop up onto my screen, but it didn't.
I also checked to see the devices plugged into my computer, and the SD card wasn't there.

I'm using an 18-55 for my d3100. I want to buy a new lens. I'm choosing between the DX 18-105, DX 55-200 or Tamron 70-300? Any suggestions please.

Will this lens fit on my Nikon D3000? - 1
I want to purchase the AF Nikkor 70-300mm f4.0-5.6G lens. Will that lens fit on my camera, or is it just too big? If it doesn't, which similar lenses would work? How can you tell if it would fit?

What is the difference between 1080p and 720p?
I'm thinking about buying a camera and I'm debating on two; the Nikon D3100, which has 1080p HD Video option and the Nikon D5000 which has the 720p as the best HD option. Yet the D5000 has a flip out screen so I can capture better angles.
***I was wondering if they is a major difference if played on an HD TV, normal TV, and computer screen?

Can a nikon d3000 capture lightning?
I've got £420 of xmas money to spend on a dslr for photographing lightning storms etc would the nikon d3000 be up to the task?

Anyone here got the new Nikon D7000? Share your thoughts, please?
I'm thinking of selling off my one year old D90 body and picking it up… A good idea?
