When i upload my pictures from my nikon d5000, they come out as duplicates?
Every single time i've connected my nikon d5000 to my computer, the pictures show up, but two pop up.one is of good quality, the other is darker. It's really annoying having to sift through the pictures and find the good ones and delete the bad ones, when i only take one picture in the first place.
I'm not sure about what lens I should get?
I'm having a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 18-55mm lens.
And I'd like to know if the Nikkor 55 - 200mm lens would be an option to the Nikkor 18 - 200mm one, or if I should just go for the 18 - 200mm?
How to take a long exposure shot with a Nikon D3000?
So I just got a Nikon D3000 and I'm kind of new to the whole situation. Can I take long exposure shots with it? Where do I go to change the shutter speed?
How did you choose your first dslr camera?
I'm liking the look of the Nikon D5000… I wanna go with nikon cause of its good optics… But to be honest i have no idea what to look for right now cause i'm new to this… I'm just gonna start with the Nikon D5000 and then get another one in a few years, when i have some experience and know what to look for… How did you choose urs?

as for my reasoning… I hate the constant turn around and cause i don't know what i'm looking for it is confusing at times… Hence y i just want to just buy one and go from there…

to be honest i'm not bias to any brand, i'm just going with what my research has said… As for price range… I do some yearly jobs for some ppl and i made a big buck last year, now there's a new branch to my business so i have estimated the best and worse case scenario so i have two price ranges… I'm btwn the D3100 and D7000 depending on how much money i make…
I'm going to be a Photo major in college next year, and I also have my own freelance business. I'm looking for some new lenses for my Nikon's.
I have a Nikon D60, which I will hopefully upgrade to a more professional level.
And I have a Nikon F5.
I would prefer an auto focus lens that will work with both of these cameras.
-lens for family portraits, close up and far off shots.
-lens for close up, detailed flower shots
-wide angle, zoom lens for landscape
let me know if you know of any lenses that would be great for the uses I just stated.

Added (1). CORRECTION: I don't have my own freelance business. I apologize. I wasn't looking for a correction on how I see my photography, I was looking for lens recommendations. And you don't know me, I could have more experience than Freshman photo students in college, matter of fact I was told that I would be ahead. So just answer the questions.
I have recently bought a nikon d3100 and after receiving some christmas money i thought i might want to invest in a flash.
I have two questions:
Which flash do you recommend for this camera?
and is it possible for me to you flashes not made by nikon ( like the cheaper ones on ebay) on my camera?
Price really is an issue for me as i have a very small budget, being a student.
Will a sigma macro lens work on a Nikon D3000?
I just got a Nikon D3000 dslr for Christmas, and I have a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. I really love macro shots, so I found a macro lens from sigma that supposedly works with Nikon cameras.
I do not intend on switching my camera, though.
For Christmas I got a nikon d3000, I always see people taking pictures like this and I have no idea how. How do you take these picures?

How to record myself playing guitar and film it?
K this question might sound confusing, I'll try and describe it as best I can.
For my History of Rock n' Roll class we're to do a final project and I was thinking of recording myself playing to about 10 or so songs through the decades.
I have a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera, a guitar, a Korg Tone Works AX100G guitar floorboard, a guitar amp, computer, USB mic, sound system (that I play my guitar through) and cords connecting all that.
I'm looking for the easiest possible way and clearest way for me to record myself playing along with songs (visual and audio). I have used a program called Audacity for recording myself making songs and whatnot. However I think if I do that it'd be imposible to match it up with the video.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
