Flash on Nikon D3000 stopped working?

Noodle

Okay, before I only get all responses telling me to "read the manual" blah blah, i'm a very irresponsible and stupid person and lost it.

After I took a few pictures the other day, I turned off my camera, and then came back to it a few hours later. The flash stopped working. I don't remember if I pressed a certain button or some *** but I've tried like everything and nothings working. Really hope I didn't break it.

Well, if anyone can help me out it'd be really really appreaciated, thank you.

Added (1). Ughh thanks for the help guys, but nothing I do is working. :/

You can download manuals from nikon.

Put it on the green auto box mode, take in a dim room and see what happens.

Generally All fully adjustable cameras like dSLR's and 35 mm SLR's work just about the same.

Only in the program mode is when the flash will automatically work when shooting in low light. MOST people who own such a camera like to use it without a flash to capture the ambient lighting in a scene

The flash will only pop up automatically in the Auto (A) mode and perhaps some of the preset modes. If you have it set in P, A, S, or M modes, you need to pop up the flash manually by pressing the little lightning bolt button on the left side of the camera just under the flash. If this all fails, you may need to send it in for service. If you know someone who is savvy about cameras, bring up your dilemma to them.

As others have mentioned, you can download the manual from Nikon's web site.
