Nikon lens Af G on d5000?

Is it possible i use a les for my Nikon F55 35mm camera on my D5000. The lens is a nikon F aF G 28-80mm and a 70-300mm lens they are both automatic focus but not VR boo hoo

You can use these but you will not get autofocus. The quality may very well disappoint, these were some of the worst lenses made by nikon around the turn of the century.

They will fit on the a D5000, you'll get open aperture metering and autoexposure, but you will not get autofocus. Early autofocus lenses designated AF do not have autofocus motors in the lens, they needed to be driven by a motor built into the body. The D5000 (and D40/x, D60, D3000, D3100) has no motor built in, and requires you to use AF-S and AF-I lenses to get autofocus.
