Why do the pictures on my camera look grainy?
I have a NIKON DSLR D3000 and on the camera looking at the pictures it looks grainy. Will it be grainy when I have them printed off?

Hi! I was debating over getting a Fujifilm Finepix, Nikon D3000, or Canon Rebel. Besides the price differences, which one is the most efficient and convenient for a photographer?

How to set up nikon dslr d70s to jpg fine and raw setting?
Have a nikon camera but no manual could you tell me how to set to camera up in jpg fine and raw at the same time
how do I put the camera in that mode to shoot both ways at the same time?

I've been asked to take some pics for a club (just a trial for now but hopefully I'll become a regular) but I've never done so before. I study photography so its all very commercially, studio stuff that I've done so far.
I've only got a Nikon D80 just now but it does the job. I have 2 old school Vivitar 283 flashes (with a dial on front ie full, half, 1/8 etc so I understand that. Its just the dial on the side that I don't understand? )
Anyways- what settings should I start with? I know obv I will have to adapt them. But the place will be packed, dark and some coloured strobes. ISO, aperature, exposure?
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
I also have an 18-135mm lens (which I will most likely use) and a 55mm fixed 1.8 lens.

Nikon D7000 has a 50ms Shutter Lag. Is that good, or are there better options?

Low level light + hyperactive kids
So my youth group has asked me to be the 'official photographer' for the youth group, which i have no problem doing for them. I enjoy photography and enjoy taking pics of the night. But there's a problem with the lighting. The youth group is of a Friday night and usually takes place under a house with fluro lights… Which is where i run into a problem. The kids do a lot of running around so i want to set a high shutter speed but can't cause of the lights in the building… I have tried using a flash but the subject is sometimes 1m away for one photo and 5m away for the next so i constantly have to fiddle with flash strength settings to avoid over and under exposure. Another problem with the flash is the subject is in focus and clear but i can see an aura around them from the longish exposure and the flash firing. I'm looking at getting a proper flash gun but until then is there anything i can do. It is hard as a photographer to accommodate low level light and kids running around at the same time. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get better photos thanks.
I use a nikon d5000 usually with a 18-55mm lens f-stop usually set to 5.6. Iso usually set to 800 and the flash set to 1/8 or 1/16.

Could i make a photo look like this with my Nikon d3100?
If yes with what lens?
Added (1). I have the kit lens 18-55

How does the new Nikon D3100 compare to the D3000?
I went to Wal-mart to price the D3000, and found the D3100 in it's place. I have not heard anything about this camera, and would appreciate comment's on the D3100, as well as how it compares to the D3000.

Do I have potential in photography?
These are just some of my photos. I havnt downloaded any of my recent ones to my computer, so I have to get to that. Some of them are edited with corel photo finisher, and I use a nikon d3000 with an 55-100 mm lense. I know they're not great, but I'm only fourteen, and I havnt taken any lessons. Don't be hesitant to give criticism.
Cheers, Charlotte!
