How does the new Nikon D3100 compare to the D3000?

I went to Wal-mart to price the D3000, and found the D3100 in it's place. I have not heard anything about this camera, and would appreciate comment's on the D3100, as well as how it compares to the D3000.

Put really simply it fixes just about all things that were wrong with the d3000

D3000 = M1 Garand, Ford Escort
D3100 = M16 Armalite, Ford Focus
