Opteka fisheye lens and nikon camera flash?

I recently bought an opteka 6.5 mm fisheye lens and love it but…
in order to use that lens i must be on manual mode, which is fine, but that means that my camera (nikon D5000) doesn't detect the lens and won't let me use flash.
is there any way to override this setting on my camera( so it lets me use flash even if it doesn't detect the lens)
ps. I'm aware that because it is fisheye, the flash won't cover the whole photo
so are there any buttons i can press to make flash work?
Please Help! I'm going on vacation in a week and don't want to have to buy a flash, haha

Give me advice on setting up my Nikon D3100?

I've been having so much fun taking pictures and for the most part they come out amazing, but I'm pretty new to photography and this is my first DSLR. What I was hoping for is if anyone could tell me the best settings for certain situations (indoor concert, outdoor party, bonfire, etc). A few bands I know play at a bar every weekend and I wanted to take flash-less pictures (I feel the flash may mess up the band while playing). If need be you can post a link that may help me!

What kind of Lens should I use?

I'm an aspiring zoologist, I often take pictures of wildlife but find my regular lens can't zoom in enough, and have a clear focused picture. I have a Nikon D70, I need a lens with a LARGE zoom, Good enough to use with Long range pictures for larger animals, but also pictures to zoom in on Insects too. Can one Lens do all that? If so, Where can i get one online?

Added (1). I guess my attachment size is 58mm? I'm not quite sure.

My lens I use is a 28-80mm Nikkor Lens.

How to take good night photos?

How can I take better night photos with my DSLR? I'm going to D. C. Soon and I plan on taking many night shots. I have a Nikon D3000.

Added (1). Thanks for all the good answers. Unfortunately I will not be able to bring my tripod because it is a school trip and I won't have enough time to set up a tripod and carry it around all day.

Sandisk sdhc problem on D7000?

Hi, i have the nikon d7000 and i've tried 4 sdhc cards ( 3 different Sandisk Extreme 30mb/s class 10 ) and 1 (sandisk class 4 ) but the problem is that after i take pics with my d7000 i can see the pics in the camera with no problem, but if i try inserting the sd card in my pc card reader it won't be recognize by windows 7 or xp, however if i connect the camera to the pc via usb i'm able to view all the pics in the sd card, i wonder if there's something wrong with my camera or do i need special driver for sdhc cards?

When taking pictures at a small indoor venue, what camera settings should you try to use?

I received a press pass to the House of Blues to take pictures of an upcoming show, I have a Nikon D5000, and have a 18-55mm & 55-200mm lens as well. I know I'm going to need to have a high ISO, and can't use flash. What else should I consider?
