Do I have potential in photography?
These are just some of my photos. I havnt downloaded any of my recent ones to my computer, so I have to get to that. Some of them are edited with corel photo finisher, and I use a nikon d3000 with an 55-100 mm lense. I know they're not great, but I'm only fourteen, and I havnt taken any lessons. Don't be hesitant to give criticism.
Cheers, Charlotte!
At present you are at the beginning stage of experimenting with what you can do with your camera. It's a very necessary phase. In order to show potential you must demonstrate control over the camera and the lighting. At this point you have not shown that. This is the value of taking classes. Do I think you can do it? Yes, if you are willing to learn. Meanwhile, have fun!
I'm beginning to see some talent in some of your photos. However, there's always room for improvement. I really like the "made a list" photo, the sepia tone matches the vintage theme. "Mel" is also pretty good, the eyes really stand out. Some of the other ones, however, I think you should add more proportion to the subject. For example, don't forget the rule of thirds. Other than that, I like your photography. Also, the photo with the mug, it would be nice to see the eyes in there. Taking a class would really improve your photography, and I'm sure you'll be really good at that. Keep it up! (I'm also fourteen, but I've had just a few lessons from a class).
Yeah but be more selective about what you put on Flickr a lot of these seem like random snaps.
