Give me advice on setting up my Nikon D3100?

I've been having so much fun taking pictures and for the most part they come out amazing, but I'm pretty new to photography and this is my first DSLR. What I was hoping for is if anyone could tell me the best settings for certain situations (indoor concert, outdoor party, bonfire, etc). A few bands I know play at a bar every weekend and I wanted to take flash-less pictures (I feel the flash may mess up the band while playing). If need be you can post a link that may help me!

You need to explore your user manual and explore how to set your cameras ISO and how to do that

Also learn about white balance and when you need to change it.

Just remember, it is far better to have some noise in your photos than blur. You can deal with some noise, but blur is NOT something you can later repair in an expensive photo program

I'm going a bit further than the ace, I'm advising you to get to grips with the basics of techniques. LEarn about aperture, shutter speed and iso and how they influence your pictures. There's books, courses, DVDs, websites, loads of place you can learn.

Then you'll find out that you will need to up your iso to 1600, open your lens as wide as it will go and see what you can do at 1/30.
