Nikon D90 Shutter Release

I just bought a cheap cable shutter release from a company in china named "shoot" for my nikon d90 but when i plug it in and try to shoot with it.nothing happens?

Demand your money back. Report the seller.

You bought a cheap piece of junk from China that turned out to be exactly what you paid for… A cheap piece of junk. So what is your question?

Try plugging the cable in both ways.

It fits 2 ways but one way it makes connections the other it don't.

Also try setting the dial on the camera to shutter (S) and rotate the adj wheel to set the shutter to BULB and see if that works.
